  1. Hey guys I'm probably geeking out a little early right now but I talked to a Gaming store in the area and they are seriously thinking about carrying Malifaux now. They agreed to let me run some Demos soon and I want to get as big of a pool as I can. Store is Hobby Works heres the address Fairfax City Mall 9650-42 Main Street Fairfax, VA 22031 Phone: (703) 426-8600 If any of you are interested let me know. I'm bringing a party of at least 3 already (not including myself) Making flyers and all that stuff, the whole nine yards. I don't have a lot of crews but eh I'm optimistic. More details up sometime this week. (Demoing for the store manager on Thursday most likely)
  2. if we carry around magic fire like pandora, ramos, marcus and others do we get one???
  3. hey when are you planning on coming to DC? I'm starting to run demos soon at a LGS and it would be cool to have someone else who knows whats going on show up once

  4. yeahhh being good or evil was too limiting for me. I enjoy being chaotic neutral.
  5. this crews officially done, sadly I don't have my camera. Expect pictures tomorrow!
  6. 15...on the brink of vile. I actually agree, DnD wise I always play chaotic neutral though.... May save your life, may steal your car. Thats me.
  7. now I want a malifaux themed cake. I blame you.
  8. my girlfriend saw the puppet pigs and freaked out. They made her so happy lol
  9. I actually had an Idea for a guild henchie, I wrote about him vaguely in a story on the Writing section. Pretty much an assassin dressed as a doctor from the Black Plague who has a thing for fragrant flowers. He takes the image of a dead person traps it in a glass vial and when needed cracks it on the ground to summon a smoke spirit that looks like the dead guy, after they fade each one leaves a certain flowers scent behind. Each vial is one time use and thats all I have right now. Pretty much like a guild Kirai right now...needs more development. He was themed after the idea that justice is blind but that means that it can 'see' in the dark. Nowhere to hide sort of thing.
  10. Tonight I shall finish my Schill box. NO SLEEP TILL THEN!
  11. tell us how the battle goes! Cerberus is a finesse tool, hide him until the battle is halfway over or until you find a straggler and then its dinner time. Getting hit at all might force you to run away to be healed, which I've never gotten to use on him. Healing= Silent One and Silent One= next to Rasputina so its a far way to run back.
  12. Yeah Cerb can eat someone no problem but he cant take a hit, especially from Taelor...I had that happen today Taelor got taken down by a gamin.
  13. ah thank youuuu I wrote it really late at night. I love picturing things in my head as I write so I try to convey the images as best I can. More will be up later on
  14. So this is a little long but I have a cool idea for a character. This is more like a little sample than something actually relevant to a story. Lets call it a prelude. This was the song I listened to while I wrote. It sets a spooky mood. [ame] [/ame] ----------------------------------------------------- Lighting raked its jagged claws through the dark sky as the clouds burst open like a broken dam. In secret a member of the clergy fiddled around with a table full of tools used for dark purposes. Silver blades reflected the lightning in the sky as they sat idle. The priest ran a hand through his graying hair and laid his hands down on the desk firmly. His shaking was obvious despite his efforts to appear calm. Fear had buried its way into his heart like one of the tools on his desk as he sat condemned. The room seemed to be growing smaller all around him and with as though a fog was filling the spaces. Fog swirled around his feet and after a few moments he realized it wasn’t only in his head. As the realization set in the door to his office burst open, breaking the locks clean off, and sending the man to his feet in shock. Black gas seemed to snake its way into the room and as the doorway cleared the silhouette of a man in a mask could be seen. Moments later everything went dark. The flashes of lightning illuminated the room with brief glimpses of terror. Gaseous entities wailed pitifully as they clawed at the man’s flesh. “The sick must follow the shepherds cane to be cleansed through death”. One last flash showed two men in the room, one pinned to a window, before they were swallowed once again. The boom of the thunder muffled the sound of a man crashing through a stained glass window. Lifeless eyes darkened even more so by the black night as his body lay broken on the ground far below. Smoke drifted from the windows in various shades of blacks, greys, and whites. When the room cleared a man could be seen standing on the ledge looking at the body, his face covered in the bird like mask of the doctors during the black plague. He wore a thick trench coat of leather and carried a thin cane in his hand. Without sparing farther words he turned his back to the open window and instead looked into the building where ‘cabinets’ covered each wall from top to bottom. Moving meticulously the man pulled open carefully selected doors; in each a body lay naked and decaying. Silently he pressed his cane gently against the chest of the dead in a curious way and disappeared into the night like a crow flying at night. The sun had just begun to peer over the horizon and already the crime scene had become a bustling investigation. The scratching of pens on paper and the clicking of expensive shoes against a cobble stone road announced each of them as the Guilds men. The smell of flowers and blood filled their nostrils like a parody of incense. That day there was no conclusive evidence made about the man’s murder but more than sufficient documentation to condemn him for the crime of necromancy. Not a single man that day questioned the small wounds on the chests of the deceased. In broad daylight a message was being passed from carrier to carrier until it finally reached the desk of a mysterious leader confirming that the target had been brought to justice. As the sun once again sank beneath the horizon a man could be seen flitting from alleyway to alleyway never giving a clear line of sight of his features. The man in the mask had no name, had no feeling, the only thing he did have was the desire to bring justice. He had turned himself into nobody and in that way he was an empty vessel for justice to do as was seen fit. There was no hiding from the law even in the darkest of nights when you are all alone there is nothing that is not seen.
  15. Plus you can lend a crew to your friends and teach them how to play. That was my motivation behind picking up the Freikorps and the day after I got them I played with my friend, the day after that he ordered the Viks. Its a great game that pulls people in easily. Good luck brainwashing your friends!
  16. I personally have never used a acolyte, I run a Silent One instead. With that you have I would say Golem, 2 Gamin, the always necessary Essence, and Cerberus. If I did the mental math right (I don't have the cards in front of me) you'll have 3 SS extra. Tip with the Cerberus, don't get shot, grab a Scheme or even a Strategy and then go nuts. It always seems to die too quickly for me personally so protect it. Lady J has a counter...its not cool. Explode on her if she gets too close. Gamin bomb? yes. wow my memory failed me and im pretty sure about it. Point is...extra soulstones. have them.
  17. its not on the online stooooore, and i need me some mechanical doves too. I'm about to cry.:hmpf:
  18. With the Viks your probably going to want to pick up a Convict Gunslinger, one because I've read that a lot of people play one, and its a good model for any group to have access too. Definitely some Ronin. They're 18 bucks but theres 3 in a pack. Later on if you want grabbing the Freikorps isn't a bad idea, I've seen people run that box with the Viks as master. I don't know much about the Death Marshals so I'm no help there... Soulstone is like points in Fantasy but instead of 3000 its 30. And your master can take extra. Example: In a 30SS battle you take 28 points of models and your master has cache 4 (masters come with their own soulstones) your master now has 6SS to use in the battle.
  19. Ive listened to this like 9 times in the past hour. And it was stuck in my head all last night. DARN YOU AND YOUR CATCHY TUNES!
  20. what would you be willing to take for the Gaki and book 2?? I dont know what you would be interested in....cash? trade?
