I can understand your statement, and I agree. However my post doesn't really assert any particular claim or truth to be had. Only that it's frustrating to be unable to obtain models that aren't available easily for people who already own a lot of their own collection. Hopefully they are doing well and people are still gaming, just not from what I can see in my state with the facebook groups. If there was no tactic to make people buy boxes that contain product they already own, why don't they offer every model available to be purchased through special order? Angel eyes doesn't appear to be available on gadzooks either. Malifaux | Neverborn | Gadzooks Gaming. Intentionality isn't really as important to me at this moment as the effect that I can't even really buy a 10$ model without spending at least triple that to have the official model.

So while it might seem like a vitriolic statement at first, that's not my intention. I'm just wondering how many other people are having the same thoughts I am. Most of the people I know that played malifaux started in first of very early second edition. I'm getting back into since taking off at the say 80% done mark of second edition. While trying to find a few specific models to round things out, a situation I keep running into is either a model A)switched factions, B) is a singular model trapped within a new box. Now me personally, being light on cash this particular holiday season, I can't really justify buying the box or the singles off ebay for a game, that appears to have died in my entire state. (kentucky). And while it's regrettable , and understandable due to the current situation the whole world is having, I still can't help but feel like the just in your face obviousness cash grab type tactics of splitting models between factions (fine by me) and packing needed models into boxes with other things already owned just feels like it's come to a head, and I can't even say I wanna invest in this type of system. To catch my collette/raspy crew up, my entire neverborn and rezzers factions, my vikky/tara crew. I can't even imagine how many singles I would have to try to hunt down on ebay. For me It's really coming to a head with just trying to find a angel eyes model, for my very first game back into malifaux, and I don't even have nekima's totem mind you. While this rant isn't supposed to be making any certain, direct claims, it's more of a short insight into just how a interaction like this might make someone feel about coming back into the game. Do I just sell all my stuff for basically pennies on the dollar, do I shell out 20$ on ebay for a angel eyes model + shipping for a game that seems to be very dead in my state, or do I just proxy? LIke I said I'm not making any particular claims, just saying how this one interaction really hampered my desire to play this game, even though I have a massive collection. Just not being able to easily obtain one singular model has nearly changed my entire mindset. I can't imagine how many other people once the global situation clears up, what kind of gaming situation they are gonna be looking at. Though, I can certain assume there are many, many more broke people like myself that are gonna have to make hard choices and quite frankly it sucks. End of random rant

to be fair I love the direction the game is going and I love all these ideas. I'm more excited about 3e than I ever was was 2nd. Honestly my only complaint is with the way tournaments are setup you have to pick and choose this and that it basically limits my creativity. Why can't I play Jakob one round and play collodi the next and then Pandora after. Oh, rules. Cool

Yeah I don't even care that lilith is gone remotely. I always thought nekima was far more interesting and I have 3 copies of her original sculpt. I do wish i had could still mess around with collodi though. Really I personally don't even care , it's just I paid good money to have them painted professionally and I Didn't really switch up crews much . So lynch and collodi being gone, kind of effected me more so that it would other people, like 2/3 of the crews I would play pretty much aren't available to me. Even though I own every resser and neverborn model available .

yeah from memory I think most of the time , it was like pick your faction and it was concrete for sure. he is probably the only ten thunders master I have any interest in , so it's basically like i'm losing that entire crew

I'm a malifaux player from way back and I'm gonna jump back in for third edition. So i'm ordering the rest of the neverborn and looking through everything only to find that I've basically lost two of my absolutely favorite crews (collodi , Jakob lynch, and nicodem*) if tournament play keeps things in faction and goes by the rules. Is there going to be continued support for this deadman's hand stuff, and will I ever have access to jakob lynch again in tournaments? I gotta say I would have been a lot less apt to spend 300$ on my gencon online order if I knew these changes ahead of time. It's not really a big deal in casual play, but most of the people I know that play the game are big into travel for tournaments and hold big events.

I'm a older malifaux player trying to get back into the game. I'm trying to put together a crew with this online crew builder to make things easier on myself, however there are some models called alyssa and aversion that are giving me a hard time on the wyrd webstore. If anyone could explain what the situation with that I would appreciate it. Not trying to spend more than half a hour putting this crew together

my bar for people fixing tabletop systems is pretty low to be honest, so i'm happy to see there are changes to update the game. Having said that however, I think I was looking for something more substantial. I get that point cost adjustments are probably the easiest to incorporate for everyone involved, but i can't help but just look at the changes and feel like they are lazy changes. still probably going to be some dead and hardly used models out there

Anyone have any tips on printing those out. I tried printing them 9 to a page in reader and they are crazy small and unable to be read.

Just in my own opinion......... nothing against the way it looks, but for nekima.... I think its a crap model. It's a female young or barbaros. just my two cents

I feel like he is perceived as being weaker because of his ability to receive conditions is brutally powerful. He is weak now, but imagine if something comes out that can give fast for cheap or melee master. I think they made him suck in order to future proof him basically. Make sure when they came out with new stuff he had room to improve
