  1. That looks awesome. Great work.
  2. Those Young LaCroix are ridiculous. The two on one base are fine, but the others are like twice as big as they should be. Just really, really bad. It's too bad, because the rest of the box looks great.
  3. I really don't like the direction they took with the Guild Guard. They look too rag-tag to me now, not like a police force at all. I guess the Arcanists are hitting soulstone shipments hard and the Guild can't afford to issue uniforms anymore. I also agree that Dashel looks way more like a reinterpretation of the old Guard Captain (now sergeant) than the Drill Sergeant that he was seemingly meant to be. Lucius and the Scribe look great, it's just too bad you can't get them separately. I have the old metal ones but I would like to have a Scribe and replace my Lucius with this cool new one. Oh well. And not to harp on about it, but the pose on the lady Guild Guard is just the worst.
  4. I would imagine Tara wouldn't have her monster arm. Smaller Nothing Beast, and the void wretches probably would be the same or perhaps a bit smaller. Karina would maybe be just a different pose or maybe even just the same. After all, the Dreamer was the same sculpt between Nightmare and regular editions, only LCB changed.
  5. Whoops, didn't see it in Miniature Matters so thought no one had made one. Thanks.
  6. I personally really love almost all of them. Hans isn't much of a change, but his was one of the coolest early minis anyway, so that is no problem. Same deal with the iconic Desperate Mercenary, which is still maybe my favorite Malifaux mini ever. The other Desperate Merc looks amazing, a huge improvement on the old lady merc. I really dig his robot arm. For the Executioners, one seems like a direct copy of the old metal alt but that isn't a bad thing at all. The surprise comes from his buddy that comes in the same box. The second executioner is in a more static pose but is very cool and menacing, I especially like his new claws and butcher's apron. I'm mostly a guild player so those are the ones that stuck out to me. Everything else looks good also, particularly the Gremlins and Bishop. The only ones I don't like are the new Guild Guards. The male would be a neat model for a gunslinger or something, but I really prefer the old ones in uniform. If anyone in Malifaux was going to wear a uniform, it would be the Guild Guard and these don't really give me that impression. If you painted the two new ones in different colors, you'd be hard pressed to tell that they are from the same unit whereas the old ones had those distinctive long coats and hats. I also like that the old female Guard was dressed exactly like her male counterparts. This one, well I don't know what's going on with her. It may be the angle, but she looks all twisted up. I get that she is supposed to look dynamic like she is twisting and shooting at the same time, but she isn't hitting anything firing a gun like that. I don't know what's going on with her left hand and I can't tell what her top is supposed to be. Like maybe a corset with a collar? Her high-heel boots aren't the worst offenders of the "all women must have high heels" trope ever but they aren't great, either. Maybe it all makes sense when you see it in person, but for now it gets a big fail from me.
  7. I’m really hoping they release single plastic minis, even if it is direct only sans packaging. Especially with the wave 2 stuff bringing so many new models that aren’t available elsewhere. I already have a Lucius crew; I don’t want to add another just so I can get a scribe. Same deal with Kaeris. I have her metals; I don’t want to buy a whole new set just for the Firestarter and Eternal Flame. The idea that long-term Malifaux players should just buy whole new boxes and maybe we can sell the extras and maybe we can’t is asinine.

  10. I have nine and last game I used her I used most of them, but I started with three on the board and the rest of the crew was focused on giving out burning. So yeah, it depends on play style but I would recommend at least one more group of them if you are planning on using resurrection at all. They aren't as good as they were in 1.5 but are still pretty solid and a reliable way of giving burning.
  11. This is a charity event to feed the hungry. The entry fee is $5 and for a dollar, you can use a onetime soulstone for any duel, regardless of whether or not that particular model can typically use soulstone. It goes both ways, so attacker or defender can pay a buck for a soulstone. You still have a soulstone pool as normal but those are ordinary and for only the usual models. So this obviously won't really be about who wins, it is more just for fun and to raise a little cash for the needy. All the proceeds will be spent on meals for families in need. The local supermarket (Publix) has donation meal packages you can buy that all the proceeds will go toward. It will be held at the Coliseum of Comics 3159 W. Vine St. (US Hwy. 192) Kissimmee, FL 34741 407-870-5322 I hope to see you there!
  12. The M2E league will be starting this Sunday at 1. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get used to the new rules. It will be a four week long escalation style format. The Soulstone total will start at 25 and go up by 5 each week. Any models using the newest beta rules are allowed. Players are not limited to one faction or master for the duration of the campaign. The point is to experiment and get a feel for how the new models work. Scoring will work as follows: It will be a simple W/D/L system, with 5 points for a win, 3 for a draw, and 1 for a loss. This is based off the first game you play. Also, once a week you can earn bonus points. You get one added to your total campaign score for the day for having a fully painted crew and another for playing an extra game, regardless of the outcome of said game. The location will be The Coliseum of Comics in Kissimmee: [h=4]3159 W. Vine St. (US Hwy. 192)[/h] [h=4]Kissimmee, FL 34741[/h] [h=4]407-870-5322[/h] I hope to see you there!
  13. I will be running demos all day on 10/19 at the Coliseum of Comics in Kissimmee, located at 3159 W. Vine St. (US Hwy 192.) I will be wearing my Wyrd Gen Con volunteer shirt so I'll be easy to spot. Ask for Andrew.
  14. Are there any plans to make individual M2E cards available from the web store? I know the 1.5 ones were available for $.50 (with a shipping of $10, but that is another conversation.) I would like to add them in with a bigger order as the only first wave Neverborn one I need is Teddy and maybe some upgrades. Other people are probably in the same boat with mercs and such.
  15. Man, those look fantastic! I love what you did with the guy peeking around the sign to shoot. I may have to steal that idea.

This does not need to be anything fancy (i.e. Army Builder, etc) but typed is preferred over hand written. A free crew creator is offered here: http://www.malifaux.com/Crew.php • Crew construction will be the Limited Faction Pool format with the following changes: o You may take two masters from your faction for your pool, choosing one at the beginning of each round at crew creation o If you only take one master you may add 5ss to your faction pool, however the total crew size for each round remains at 25ss. o If taking a Henchman, it must be specified if it will be used as a master or a minion. If used as a master, it takes up one of your two master slots. If used as a minion, use its ss value for filling the pool. You may take it as both, giving you the option to choose how to use it round to round, in which case it both fills a master slot as well as counting toward your ss total.
