I would insist on the use of strategies and schemes because a survivor match would be severely in his favor with this line up. As for expecting to lose, never. That mentality means your already dead. Im not looking for a blockbuster list to be handed to me on a silver platter, Im looking more for a comprehensive critique on my 2 lists and plausible strategies with them. I should also mention that everyone is brand new to Malifaux in this area. From what I know so far, we have this guy playing Lillith, his gf playing Colette, and 2 guys each playing Lady Justice, and that is a list of all the players we have so far. Im 90% certain that this will be the first public game of Malifuax at the store we hang at. That being said, sadly enough, I think this might be the closest to an even match Im gonna get, lmao. I will be playing Nicodem vs Lillith in a 30ss scrap. This is garaunteed, because these are the only masters my opponent and I have ready. I know his strategy, he will most likely run 1 Teddy, possibly his Killjoy, and Im assuming, mostly tots.(he seemed very enthusiastic about his "Ramp Tactic") Ive been debating the crew I should use and here are my 2 ideas. I just skimmed through the German Sandman by Hoffman and its wiki entry and noticed some interesting stuff. Don't qoute me exactly, but take a look and be your own judge. This is what quickly jumped out at me along with a few minor cross references. Coppelius was a Lawyer. -Lucius allows access to the special forces unit which the Lawyer model is a part of. While working with Coppelius, Nathanniel's father takes on a pained countenance which twists his features to look like those of Coppelius. -Those in association take on a similar appearance?? During the slaying of Nathanniel's father he refers to Coppelius as a devil, specifically, and in some interpretations of the story Coppelius is viewed as a source of great evil, all evil, or the evil that lurks in all men. - Much closer to our society's interpretation of the Devil then the western, dream spreading, Sandman. And two common names for that concept are Satan and Lucifer. Im sure you can see the similarity between the mytholgic name and the character name. Later in the story Coppelius takes on the form of a different man. -Ability to change his appearance. Penchant for deception. Ever hear of that Lord of Lies title??? In the Rising Powers rule book, read the last paragraph of the Lawyers description, specifically the part about how they all sign a contract, yet never reveal to whom. -Definitely an allusion to the infernal. Now Im not saying that they are all one and the same, Im just noting the few things that came to my attention rather quickly. The only thing you can put me on record for being 100% sure of is - I don't think that parallels of this frequency are solely coincidental. There is some connection between these characters besides what has already been stated. That being said, the soap box is there for whoever wants it next.

Please explain why, and "where" I can find the info to summon them both off the same punk. Your strategies sound solid Sandwich, but I seem to remember something about only one model being able to be summoned as a result of Drawn to Death. Think it was in the second book. I had the same idea at one point, but remember finding a reason that it wouldn't work like that.

I just recently got into Malifaux and have a reasonable selection of models to work on (mostly Res'ists). But even with out having played a single game yet (people near me are still working on their crews), I can see how broken 'Dita is. Tell the detractors to deal with it, or build a better crew; choice of Master is just as much a tactic as anything else.

I just ordered a Killjoy today for my Nicodem crew, he seems solid.
