  1. Thanks Gensuke, you're echoing my thoughts. At 7ss he seems just a little much to be used solely to supply body parts - especially when McM doesn't seem to suffer from this problem. This might change once i lose my BP factory chihuahua or i start summoning rogue necros. Regarding the grave spirit vs extra dog, whilst i acknowledge Ratty's point that the totem is generally good value i feel the extra 1ss to get a dog (and another aggressive unit that provides a body part) is a winner. I find the totem tricky given i'm generally dropping frankies into my opponents backline.
  2. Works but you may lack some hitting power - read the maybe other posts on 30ss lists.
  3. Sounds like the chihuahua is going to proxy a canine remains in my list - McM wil carve him up first turn for parts!
  4. I agree Thunder, they seem amazingly good a taking down a target at moderate range whilst providing the necessary cheap corpse counters like canines. I'm going to have to proxy test them a bit to see how they fit my style. Initial comments to add (as devils advocate): - They are a little slower than dogs so if you're using scalpel sling to rush McM this may not be as effective. - I believe sacrificed models don't drop corpse counters so you will need to knock them off yourself if you use the nurse. Don't use the invunerable injection but then if they are already wounded then they are very easily killed. - Taking multiples may be difficult if you're trying to kill them early game for counters. - An opponent will only fall for this once as they are m4 and range 8 from memory, easily avoided in the early game. Alterntively they aren't too hard to kill either, especially if you have wounded them for improved performance! - Convict gunslinger is still far better at nailing one target, he has paired weapons a higher CB, rapid fire, nasty triggers. Not to forget he's tougher and doesn't disappear after three turns!
  5. I've not had a lot of luck with a summoning factory but i never tried Morty. Seems a lot of SS stuck in the process while your opponent focusses on the strategy. Has anyone tried this?
  6. There are heaps of topics on what makes McM work well. As a minimum to nearly every lists i've seen (and played) you'll need 4 dogs and at least 1 fleshie. Seb makes nearly all the lists because he's so cheap and quite nasty in melee. I have 2 fleshies on the table about every second game but rarely more than that. From there you can use nurses to dog bomb, bete to pop up and nail models or ranged support with belles/crooked men. I prefer bete and a mix of ranged support as the nurses are just too pricey. Punks are a little too slow for McM crews and the hanged whilst good don't have the same synergy with McM as other res masters. I'm experimenting with necropunks now.
  7. Looks fun but you're going to struggle to finish the strategy with so few models. Might also be hard to kill key opponents given Molly doesn't output a lot of damage. Perhaps take schemes you can achieve and work on denying the opponent any VPs? Test it out and post your results!
  8. I'd agree with the above comments, more dogs are great. I'm not a fan of the punks with McM. They are just too slow to support him once he starts jumping around killing things. I prefer crooked men but either way you're going to lack a bit of punch. No totem?
  9. Just buy all the Ressie master boxes, you'll end up using a good chunk of the models across the different crews (maybe not McM nurses as much). Saves buying the blisters seperately every time you want to mix it up!
  10. Looking good, particularly like the hooded rider. Better shot of Lelu?
  11. Yes, i'm interested in the mercs too but haven't tested them. They seem slightly more flexible than the dogs. Is there something i'm missing wth nurse/rogue necro combos? It seems an awful waste of 14ss worth of models (or a few cheaper models and a few actions from McM). Granted it would probably tear the face off something before it exploded but there are plenty of cheaper ways to do that!
  12. Looks like a fun list to me. I don't rate nurses that highly, dog bomb is powerful but expensive SS wise and McM doesn't need a nurse to heal. I recommend you drop one for an extra dog to cut up and a totem.
  13. Looks well painted to me, well done. My only suggestion for improvement is to lighten the base highlights - it's too dark IMO. Definitely pick out the claws!
  14. I agree with JMGraham, the ruling was pretty clear and that's how we played it. No rules lawyering was needed. My biggest problem with the cuddle is Get the Stick now appears very silimar the the totem's other ability. It's not realy worth it's points now, i'd rather take another dog to slice up or get armour 2 from the other totem.
  15. Get well soon Nemissary, your work is fantastic!
  16. I haven't played with Nico but i can say Bete has been good for me against Lilith. Make sure you try and burn his soulstones out then throw a chump or two in next to Lilith to create a death for Bete. Don't bring her out if Lilith has action points remaining or Bete will get sent straight back down! Once she is activated, groin strike and flurry can knock out Lilith if she's used her SSs. Best to delay it as long as possible to drain their control hand and stop cheating.
  17. Ok, i'll give it a go. Sounds like i need to get a bit smarter with my activations and positioning and really take advantage of the high SS pool rather than change things up too much. I think i'll try to probe a bit more with the dogs and try to get him to commit without support and before i've activated McM. Maybe even using the chihuahua to pop a soulstoned dissection as a surprise backup.
  18. So the feeling is that McM can one turn her? I'm not so sure if she has SS left...but i didn't really get the chance. The dogs dropping her Def was my target but the minute she gets an activation she whirlwinds the lot of them - and generally they are activating early to delay McM. Blackblood is also a problem with their low wounds. I've read a bit of the tactica, they post a link from a henchman that the Chihuahua does pull the stick out of thin air. BPC didn't seem a problem anyway, getting a high crow is! I'll give it another shot and try defending Seb more and spitting out dogs with him rather than rushing in. I'll delay a turn to try and bring out more Fleshies as a meat shield. I'm really tempted to try a nurse/belle combo but i'm not sure i want to lose bette yet, she did the best out of my crew in the few games i had. I'm tempted to suicide a dog at Lilith/mature pop Bette and flurry them away. I guess i'll have to experiment witht he punks/nurses/belles (and buy a few more models).
  19. Hi guys, long time lurker just registered. I've just picked up the game as an alternative to my usual GW addiction. I had a couple of games against my brother on the weekend to flesh the rules out and really struggled against Lilith with my McMourning crew. I've reviewed a few posts on here and was running a 25ss crew consisting of: McMourning Sebastien Bette Noir Chihuahua 4xcanine remains I know i made a few mistakes. I got my activation messed up and often had McM activating early to build flesh constructs as barriers when he should go last. I wasn't nearly aggressive enough with Bette who i think should be popping out whenever something dies. I also bunched too much and got whirlwinded by Lilith way too many times... Can anyone offer suggestion for handling her? She went down my throat with a mature nephilim and wiped out my crew in a couple of activations. Dogs and sebastien generally got smashed too easily and McM was left unsupported. With a bad control hand her high Def and a couple of soulstones made her invunerable (until a surprise Bette and flurry took her down). I had a similiar experience against Rasputina with my crew getting smashed but i secured the objective with McM and he couldn't get through the flesh construct spawning. Is there a preferred activation order? How close should Sebastien be to McM?
