  1. If it's summoning a ton of punk zombies than running up on the opponent with em heres what I do, shoot them once with a death marshal, trigger critical and do three damage, if there is another one in range than shoot him, don't shoot the same one twice. The idea is to get as many undead models within three wounds of dying as possible, then just drop "restore natural order" with lady j and poof... nicodem is minus a horde. Death marshals are great against him (or anyone), ryle is amazing against hordes, lady j just hates rezzers all around (and should have no trouble hitting) and what nicodem lacks a lot is the ability to ignore armour, so I would also recommend trying Peacekeeper, he is a monster tank with huge damage output and he is scary fast.
  2. If you are looking for a shooting model outside the family I would suggest either two death marshals or ryle, the guild pawn. If you need melee support I know the executioner is popular but I personal don't like him, I will go the two extra points for Peacekeeper every time, he's got more wounds, he's got armour, an extra point of defence, with the ability to burn a card to walk he is really quick, I believe his damage output is a little higher... basically they both have big targets on em, the difference is the Peacekeeper can take the damage and get into combat fast by essentially charging 13" with two inch reach. And if all else fails he's got a gun with decent damage, a nice trigger to drag people closer, and it causes slow.
  3. I agree with Odin, Santigo is a beast and you will not regret taking him... ever. But i cant really get behind trading nino for an austringer. I understand you save two points, but what your losing is damage, two really powerful triggers and the ability to family up... all of which I am more than happy to pay the extra two points for. I know the austringer ignores line of sight, and yes that's really good but honestly if they are going to go through the trouble of moving their army so nino cant take a few shots at it that does not make him and less useful, just sit him by an objective (in cover preferably) and use him as a powerful deterant.
  4. I thought about using a nurse to juice up dogs/punks, but it sounded a little risky cause if it doesn't work right then the dog dies and the opponent doesn't have to spend an activation killing it was my only concern. But if you have had luck with it I'll defiantly try it out. How does everyone feel about the hanged? They look good on paper, and they're spirits (I think) so they would be fairly survivable... plus I love the models. Anyone had experience with em?
  5. I normally play guild but lately (ever since I tried him out for about 15 minutes while helping out with a demo and found him incredibly fun.) I've been wanting to start playing the good doctor. I was thinking something along the lines of: McMourning Sebastian A rotten belle Bette Noir A few punk zombies And probably some canine remains to engage the occasional gunman. My question is, how often am I actually summoning? Is it worth picking up more than one flesh construct because from what i gathered I'm going to be using body parts to get that extra action more than anything, I don't see more than one being on the field at the same time. And any other suggestions to the list are welcome, that just sounded like it would work to me.
  6. Hey this is Tim, from up at agents

  7. The only family I would defiantly drop is Papa Loco, then add Abuela Ortega, she is very good with the family in my opinion. Other than that I would consider dropping Fransisco (only because i believe a death marshal and a soul stone are better.) But as far as Nino and Santiago go they are VERY solid and i wouldn't consider dropping them at all, and you gotta add some death marshals in the mix, they are the best four point models in the game. Death marshals are nice with the family because if you family up and activate Abuela, Nino, Santigo and Perdita all at once and it falls through or didnt go as well as planned they give you a few activations to fall back on.
  8. Thanks, i haven't had to much experience with the strategies/schemes, but i will definitely keep that in mind.

    Lady J crew

Got a tournament coming up and I was looking for some tips on the list I've been using for a while. Lady Justice X3 Death Marshals Nino Ortega Peacekeeper Scales of Justice It tends to work pretty well, the death marshals are great for 4 points, I run them up front for shooting and blocking charges and i use Lady justice and Peacekeeper as the counter chargers. You guys got any suggestions?
  10. I play lady justice and ever since i found Samuel Hopkins i haven't touched judge, for an extra point you get 2/3/4 shooting (4/5/6 after flaming bullets (0) action and god help them if they are ca 6+) after using him judge just doesnt strike me as a 7ss model. And its safe to assume anything in his rapid fire range is dead (as 3 weak damages in a row is still 12) Three death marshals seemed like to many, two has been the magic number for me. executioner + lady justice results in ALOT of hate from resurectionists... it's wonderful :proud:
  11. Pretty simple question, is he worth it? His damage is sick, he can (sort of) walk for free and because of that he has a respectable threat range with drag and 2" melee. He is also very survivable for a 9ss model (he was out-tanking executioner in my games) His problems are obvious, with bad flips you have to burn control cards or sacrifice actions but in the two games i used him in he seemed pretty balanced, great in combat but a bit of a card hog. Anyone have excessive experience with him with tips for a new guy?
  12. I've got a really loose grasp on the rules so far (first game is tomorrow) what do you mean right cards? I thought summoning was just throw away a counter, pass a casting test, and then I've got a new zombie. so is the crew I've got drawn up so far gonna fall flat you think? What would you change? any and all advice is appreciated
  13. I'm starting up a nicodem crew and here's what I've got so far. Nicodem Mortemer 3 punk zombies canine remains killjoy What else should i pick up to make a good crew? My thinkin so far is start with nic on the field with mortemer, canines and killjoy, let the canines go off and die use those bodies plus whatever mort digs up to make the bulk of my fighting force. And i had a question, the way i understand it i can pay 2ss for some canine remains send it off to die then use the corpse to summon a 5ss punk zombie? or am i wrong?
