I believe technically the SPAs Place or are Replaced by the Deso, thus getting around Desolate. Desolate is a restriction to prevent Nicodem from summoning it.

Just a side note, I don't believe you can take Thwart and Gather Soulstones in the same game. I believe the RM says only one faction specific scheme can be selected.

I would say no, as you're still engaged and therefore cannot use ranged attacks, the limit has to do with the casting model being engaged, not los, which is all ice mirror grants

I believe duelist lets you cheat by discarding a card and reflipping, and you can't cheat when you have a negative twist, so I'd say you can't use duelist with a negative twist

Executioner, dies, s2d, kills alp, heals to full. Pretty effective in practice

Dreamer with the twins, drop lelu and lilitu in the middle of the stolen and have them hit each other, black blood will take care of stolen. Don't cheat unless it's absolutely important, drains his hand. And remember, Voracious Rats only spawns new rats when models are killed, not sac'd

Plus the cost of losing totems... Sure, most masters won't take totems, but some can't play without (Dreamer, Som'er, Collette, Kirai)
