  1. also works great with a sniper such as nino or the austringer since they prob wont be moving so you can get fast of on them every turn

  3. when you charge you move and then make a strike which recieves a positive twist to the damage flip. if you dont end up in range then you still move the full movement but dont get the strike
  4. yeah i played it and enjoyed it, just need to remeber that you have to reload your guns so cant stand and shoot all day lol. the card system for where you damage is a nice change too

  9. if you are talking about using Drain Souls it wont work because they are insignificant (RM pg 119)
  10. the only way they can make a model fall back is either jack daw or killjoy or the freikorps specialists "You're Flammable" trigger. so no its another of their spells that i've never cast (along with another on, and very rarely sisters in battle)
  11. definately want some ronin, they work really well with the viks, but yeah the freikorps are good as well, especially the librarian cant go wrong with either since their box isnt that great, taelor is the only one i use from it
  12. yeah just stick with it, they were my second master after about a year of playing viks and it still took a while to get used to them. the more games you play the more you will notice the best way to things. little tricks like using the coryphee to put enemy models on negative to resist flips, makes magicians duel with the doves alot easier if you are low on soulstones
  13. they are fantastic for keeping next to a coryphee duet in case your opponent gets the initiative and decides to attack it before it has use soulstones
  14. it is their ability "Soulstone Powered" which allows ANY showgirl within 3" to use it as a soulstone whether or not they have Use Soulstone. if the model (say a performer, normally) which doesnt have use soulstone, uses the dove in this way it can only be used to flget an extra flip for attack, defense, casting flips etc. also when they are used this way the flip gets a postive twist
  15. assisst doesnt affect both viks because it is not a spell, you can only make 1 of them fast a turn and since it is an all action he tends to get left behind quite alot unless you take someone like hans or the trapper

  17. i feel the same about 40k models, i have had a case full of models for about a year that i cannot be bothered to paint because i will be painting around 100 orks all the same, as soon as i get a malifaux model it is basecoated and painted since they are all different and can be painted as such
  18. i actually used that list for a game a while back and it worked really well, my opponent didnt know who to focus on and i kept them all close enough to the librarian that even if he did get a model close to death they just got healed back again
  19. von shill v taelor really comes down to personal preference and opponent, strategy & schemes i think you cant go wrong with either. eg against kirai you would want taelor for the magical weapon, but anything else you could argue either since v. shill is harder to kill can get rid of corpse counters and make constructs slow whereas taelor has higher damage output, the positive damage trigger on constructs and ignores armour (i know v. shill ignores armour on his knife but its better to use his gun). v. shill is also a lot faster so can get to treasure, evidence markers etc very quickly (especially if a student give him fast, thats 20" of the board turn 1). and finally he give the librarian slow to die when he is close, so your df3 6wd model isnt quite so easy to kill.
  20. when you unbury something it has all of its remaining actions, and since colette unburies them at the closing phase they have (normally) 2 actions when they activate next turn. lord chompy activates immediatley after the activating model that brought him out finishes and since the dreamer is no longer on the board his activation has finished so you wouldn't get an activation. but if the dreamer used 2 general ap chompy can only use 1 general ap and things like melee master duet i believe the ap of the placed models is shared between them from the remaining ap from the duet so if you used all of its ap then they couldnt do anything
  21. remember colette can ditch a soulstone to draw 2 cards if ur hand is running low
  22. sublime performance requires an 8 of any suit to cast, not too hard
  23. one way to stop them is for the coryphee to use blinding on them, cheat high and use a soulstone if needed for a neutral flip then cheat in a severe, that paralyzes them so they can't do anything on their activation to get it off easier you can also use the coryphees (0) sublime performance to get masks to cb and hit them triggering hypnotic movements so they are at a negative to resist flips, then use blinding
  24. that trigger is for dissapearing act and discharge soulstone only
  25. i would say the gunslinger, great damage output and a solid model you would only get fast off once or twice a game on the viks, that said i did have great success using him to make the trapper fast since he wasnt moving could get it off every turn
