2. A ZOMBIE DRAGON! Here are some pics of a Dragon I did around this time last year...
3. One thing Hazzard, looking at the Cherub it looks like there are still some pretty good sized mold lines on his arms. It may just be a lighting/shadow thing, but if your models are smooth it helps the paints and washes be a little more even. I have a hard time with getting all the small ones some times and I never see them until after I've started base coating and especially after I start washes... they are SNEAKY!
4. I love the model. I have one to paint on my workstation, but have not found a reason for it... I love Sweeney Todd. Also, bete noire , bête noire If you refer to someone or something as your bete noire, you mean that you have a particular dislike for them or that they annoy you a great deal. So I think the girl to boy thing is AOKay!
5. I really like the color choices here... good job! Those bases are very nice too, where did you get them?
6. I know that Soda Pop , when contacted by our LGS, stated that one or the other of the Chest/Crystal, would be available for purchase, and the other was only going to be available at events and demos. I believe they said the crystal was the demo/event only piece. Don't hold my feet to the fire on which it was...
7. Share Bear: The Repair... So the circle was shoddy. I got out the dremel and fixed the shape. Slapped on a little brush on white primer, recoated the whole tummy in stonewall grey (no pic yet)....
8. Friendship Bear: Sketched out the image I wanted, Added the base layer of Mouldy Ochre so that the yellow will pop in a single coat on the eyes, flowers, and the nose. Also base coated the stems in necron green... I added the bright yellow to the flowers, the teeth, and eyes. Along with a coating of hunter green on the stem and leaves. In the finished shot you'll see the brown smiley faces on the flowers, but I don't have a shot of those...
9. Friendship bear, he's got his grid and he's ready for his tummy symbol... As for Share Bear... well we have a problem... I didn't notice that the circle on the tummy is all a-wobble until after I put the base coat on her... She will have to be reworked...
10. Tha roof, tha roof, the roof is on FIRE!
11. Try P3's inks. I have used them and I like them...
12. Nicely modded... I like the fire effects...
13. A doomwheel I did around Christmas of last year...
14. When Shoatima and the Dragon/Chodlings comes out I will have to take some time off from work...
15. So after some washes and base coats and such... Here is the Friendship bear And the purple... After lunch I will be putting the images on their tummies... so it will be more crappy Droid photos, until I finish them...
16. Works for me! Still a lovely setup, and not a bad price point for all the pieces you get...
17. Pretty much your standard "Rah-rah" session. "The initial Mage Knight offering for release will be a board game designed by Vlaada Chvátil, designer of the acclaimed games: Dungeon Lords, Through the Ages and Galaxy Trucker." It does let you know it'll be board game...
18. It looks pretty good for self cut paper terrain, they even put what appears to be Pandora and crew in the display shot! Linked here... http://www.dungeoncrawlers.com/
19. Save those Mage Knight minis that you have bags of with no use for them... Wizkids announced that they are bringing it back... again. http://wizkidsgames.com/blog/2010/10/21/wizkids-announces-the-re-launch-of-the-mage-knight-%E2%84%A2-property/
20. They were only available during the artist convention on their site, I was able to get some ordered through our LGS distributor (allegedly), so If the other 2 boxes of them come in we can work something out Ratty... PM me.
21. They look good... As far as the eye effect you already know the basics... Look at the butt of the second zombie; his hieny has a bit of a glow to it... Mimic that in an exaggeration of what you would normally paint and the eyes will come out marvelous!
22. For those of you that can stomach cute... here you go! Reaper's Mouselings are one of my little addictions (on top of Teddy's and Licorice). Reaper seems to be putting the out on somewhat of a regular schedule. They were released first at GenCon a little ahead of the announced schedule and they were a hit. They are excellent painter training fodder. Multiple textures from armor to fur, cloth and leather, different archetypes to master from the armored paladin to the thief, pretty much everything that you'll encounter in the genre. Whenever a new painter comes to the shop I always encourage them to get a box of the mouslings to practice on and 10 for 25 bucks is not a bad first investment. Now for the good news... Zombies and Seasonal Mice! And coming soon... Have a good look and get your cute on!
