  1. So. Winnepeg keeps the Eastern Schedule. gary bettman, Brilliant! *Sarcasm* the guy is a knot head and has no business being a commisioner of a pro sport. OR any sport for that matter. The schedule was set, is his defense and only shows he did not want the sale to go through and now hands out his form of punishment/justice. The simple fix would have been to move Detroit to the East, take up the Flames Schedule and Winnepeg take up Detroit's Might have had to tweek a few games, but jeez.
  2. I do not see Rasputina as having a sense of humor at all. I think she is more of the Cold Shoulder kind of girl. . . .
  3. Thanks Guys, As I said I am not a fan of the PVA glues,or the CA glues, looking for an alternative that works quickly and bonds well.
  4. Simple, Which glue to use? White Glue is recommended, but it is a pain to work with. As is Super Glue. I see some demos and guys using a glue pen but they never mention which type or name of product. Same when I try to find the type to use in the store. Any suggestions?
  5. After years and years learning my airbrush, I have found there is no magical tutorial that will transform you AND your airbrush into a zen like state. Practice and experimentation are the keys. . .and buy a GOOD airbrush with a consistent source of air. A compressor with regulator can be purchased at a big box DIY for the price of a box of figures.
  6. People here are crying about all the defensive picks the Wings made. HOCKEY fans know; goals win games, defense wins cups (Scotty Bowman) We lost Brian Rafalski and the defense was NOT up to par this year so Defense is a major requirement.
  7. Hmmmm I might have to check that out. . .Thanks for that!
  8. Friday, 1 July Preliminary Red Wing Roster will be announced.
  9. Junior Prospects are coming to Traverse City Michigan. High school and college prospects are going to be attending camp in Hockey Town North in July.
  10. Welcome to wyrd. Ask away and you will receive the massive insight and intelligent answers you wish, well you'll get answers anyway!
  11. Nick Lidstrom wins the Norris. Jay Mohr is not funny.
  12. Make fun of the San Jose Sharks (NHL) and you're sure to get one!
  13. Nick Lidstrom to return for one more year. Jager wants to wear the Winged Wheel. Preseason Schedule announcements. Erickson is a hold out. (You ain't that good kid)
  14. I know that the Venzia was already decided, and it is for REGULAR season play, but Thomas did an amazing job this year after his bad two years and injury. He should get the Venzia. 108 days until Hockey season.
  15. Beer+stupidity. The real Vancouver hockey fans were in the arena cheering the winners of the Stanley Cup.
  16. Playoff beards are not mandatory, some players just cannot grow them, Juri Hudler is one, Cindy Crysby is another. Those that can do so, it is a tradition. Fans often take part, mine is gone now. . . Karn, I do agree Tim Thomas deserved the Conn Smythe, and if he is not awarded the Venzia look for another riot. . . The guy set a record for saves in the Finals that is sure to stand for sometime. Luongo collapsed and while still good, there is no way he can hold the Venzia. Of course booing the troll is always acceptable. But hats off to the true Hockey fans in Vancouver that cheered the cup winners as they hoisted the cup. Hockey, where else could you see a troll hand a trophy to a giant?
  17. 109 Days until the Hockey Season begins.
  18. Welcome TO the Wyrdness. It is an addicting game, hobby.
  19. Well. . .that was . . .interesting. Raymond "lost and edge" and that is why there was no penalty called on Boychuk. Horse hockey.
  20. Disagree. That many people on the ice was not necessary to attend to an injured player. That is MY opinion based on over 10 years in the Emergency Medicine field and five as a Hockey Paramedic. (I have played goalie ever since the pads were bigger than I was). Looking at the play in slow motion as the NHL does, I see the call on Rome was correct, it was late, he did hit Horton on the helmet (Unintentional), though Horton's head hitting the ice caused more injury than the check. Thomas slashed Burrows when he was not in the crease. It was an intent to injure as he targeted his knee. Thomas saying it was a love a tap and showing he was not going to take it, would have more credibility had he gone after Burrows after the initial Burrows slash to Thomas' stick when he was in the crease with Thomas, not waiting for his back to be turned to Thomas. That you agree with emrick and the boys on versus/nbc is not a valid argument to me. I like Thomas, he is a Michigan native, I like his Billy Smith Style of play, including "subtle messages", but they need to be sent when the guys are face to face. I like the how the refs ignored the Gretzky like rag doll flops trying to draw penalties and penalized the Canucks for it, though I believe they should spend some time watching Chara and his "work" after the play as well. Mike Murphy warned both teams to clean it up or face minors and misconduct penalties, a promise that seemed to have impact on game 5.
  21. The hit put on Horton by Rome was late, no doubt. I think most damage was done as his head hit the ice and not the original hit. Penalty Yes. Misconduct? Yes. Four game suspension? Hmmmm. perhaps, as Horton is gone for the series, but while the hit was late, Boston folks have to realize it was a hit and Horton was NOT aware of Rome in open ice. Also the amount of people on the ice looking after Horton seemed a bit like theater, At one time it looked as if he wanted to get up but they had him so tied down he couldn't. Flash Forward to game four. Tim Thomas and the vicious slash to Burrows. No Call. Time being a factor no doubt, but that was an example of Intent to Injure if I ever saw one. Ridiculous, and it shows a perceived bias is not so perceived. Silly men on versus called for Rome's head after his hit, yet called Thomas' slash a "defense of the turf"(crease). Again proving they have no idea of the sport or what it takes to play the game or when one steps out of bounds.Sadly neither do the refs. Look for game five to be a hack fest, and as they are in Vancouver, it may get bloody. Depends on the refs and the tone they set.
  22. Welcome, love the avatar, it is shiney!
  23. If EVER there was a reason to draw a penalty it was when Burrows was beating Chara to the puck and his goalie was depending on HIM, the man with the C on his sweater and "best defenseman ever" ,*sarcasm*, to DEFEND. Oh well, insert the words EPIC FAIL here. Thomas is a sprawler and I am surprised the defense hasn't adapted to his style of play in these playoffs. Nerves? Over confidence? Now in Boston to see what is going to happen. . . .
  24. Remember Avalon Hill, SPI, FASA? Punching out cardboard for hours to even get ready to play, rules that read like an IRS code book, "Rule 5.1.1.1.a: exept for skirmishers, see Rule 5.1.1.1.2a." Afrika Korps, Stalingrad, Third Reich, Squad Leader and the SPI marvel "Gettysburg". Which took almost as long to play as the actual battle, if you played for the full 72 hours! Then came the mini's and simple (?) rules for everything from WWI ship battles to space ships. All had one common theme. Fun. Then came GW, back in the 80's and, though not my cuppa, (I like Skirmish games, smaller easier to handle.) I have Imperial Guard and Bretonnians and Dark Elves. (more to paint and collect now) Then low and behold: Malifaux. Love it. Doing what I can to help spread the word. . .
