When you determine how many Soul Stones you'll have for the game, you may exchange any number of them for body part counters. So, if you start the game with 8ss in your pool, you could take away 3 of those soul stones to get 3 body part counters, bringing your pool down to 5ss. Hope that helps!

I played two games with him last night...both were very interesting. His crew tends to have a lot of rules, forgetting any one of them can cost you the game in my experience so far. His crew plays so different from what I'm used too, it may take some time to really get the hang of it.

Can any one that has experience with the 10T archer lend some advice about how to put the head dress thingy on the model? I've been screwing around with it for 45 minutes and can't seem to figure it out.

Yeah, I'd like to do a color theme, but I'm color ADD when it comes to painting. My Ressers are all different, however their bases are the same. I do like that RR idea for Mei, and I was actually thinking on those lines.

Here is the deal, after playing Malifaux since it's release (well, got into it into November of 09') with Outcasts (Gremlins) and Ressers, it looks like 10T is the perfect breath of fresh air. I've been looking for a change of pace, but was reluctant to get into another faction with book 4 on the horizon. Now that it's here, I'm stoked to call 10T my next faction, and will try my best to play all of the masters as 10T instead of their dual factions. Now, my issue is going to be how do I base these models? I ordered the Misaki and Jakob box sets, along with all of the 10T and Neveborn minions. I plan on getting Mei when she is released to the public along with Yan Lo and all of his stuff. Because they have such a different vibe, I want their bases to fit their vibe, but still feel like they belong together as a faction. I don't think it's going to be possible. My idea for Misaki and those minions that are 10T only, is a little cliche but I will be going to bamboo route. While my Jakob set I want to do wood planking to portray a bar/casino. I will be getting Yan Lo when he comes out and all of his stuff, and I think I want to continue my current grave yard theme that my current Ressers already have. Mei Fang I haven't put too much thought into and McCabe may be the only master I don't end up playing so basing may not be an issue. So, with this rant out of the way, are any of you guys who plan on playing 10T having this issue? Do you plan to make them all the same, or do individual themes?

That last ability sounds like it will add some mobility to most of our crews!!

I like Yin a lot too, I think she will add a lot to all of the masters. A spell that hands out Anathema will be awesome for Seamus, and will make The Face of Death awesome again! Her movement and her survivability will be clutch in my opinion. I think she has more synergy with Yan Lo than most people tend to think. Izamu will be seen a lot...the guy is just murder flavored murder!

Graves isn't a dual faction model, I think that has something to do with him not being in the Dark Debts box set. All of the new box sets have models that are dual faction, I think that's done for a reason. I do believe it will be: Yan Lo Soul Porter Toshiro 3x Ashigaru Edit: The Ashigaru kind of goes against my thoughts on Graves not being in the Dark Debts box. Maybe we'll get lucky and see just the unique models with Yan Lo. Something like this: Yan Lo Soul Porter Yin Toshiro

I doubt it will be Izamu due to him being a Resser model and not a dual faction model. Toshiro is the likely candidate, I don't think it will have anything to do with his base size.

I believe it's just Ancestors, and only if he is carrying a relic of a fallen ancestor. He's a different kind of summoner, but when he does it will more than likely be game changing!

The Archers around going to be sweet!! 10t Yan Lo lists get some nice ranged support!!!

I've only found it to be a problem when I put Seamus in a position where he'll take multiple attacks from multiple models. HtW2 has just as much chance to pull the BJ, which is really my only counter argument against the hatred of HtW2.

Judging from the releases at Gencon, it looks like besides 10t, Ressers seem to have the most Asian themed models. Jakob and company are pretty far from Asian. Mei and her crew, though Asian in name and appearance, are far more steam punk than Asian fantasy. I'm on board with this, as it adds another element to the uniqueness that is Malifaux! Also, that totally says Anathema!!

I'm really excited for Yan Lo, his back story seems really intriguing. Since I read the fluff in book 3 about Misaki, I've been anxious to get her in the table, she seems like a lot of fun.

In the fluff, Nicodem prefers to use the corpses of warriors from the orient, as he has found that they tend to hold on to their fighting abilities better after resurrection. I think it's pretty thematic, and we already have a host of non asian models to chose from already.

He's gunna be a nice tanky beatstick for the faction. I can see all sorts of carnage with Nico and a grave spirit!!
