  1. Hey folks, how much interest is there in the area of doing a tournament? I'd be happy to put it together and run one for everybody if we can meet a minimum mass of people. PM me or respond here. Thanks
  2. Yeah, but the model isn't its base. It also has a height. I might be misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you don't really take the height into account. We play that if one or both models is of greater height than any intervening terrain, there is LoS. Ht2 - 1" - Ht1 has sight. There are certain angles where this becomes absurd. For the most part, we manage to avoid this, but in those few situations where it becomes absurd, we tend to move to more of a true LoS.
  3. I guess. Walls do provide cover against range shooting, just as you'd hope they would. There are only two types of cover, and that difference is indicated by the type of terrain. Hunter is an ability that ignores cover. I'll grant you that a 1.5" wall given the wrong angle will block sight in reality but doesn't in the game currently. I believe LoS is something that is being covered in errata 2.0 (but I may be wrong about this). In any case, the whole point of Hunter is to eliminate cover. I don't think that's the silly part. The silly part more has to do with LoS. Regardless, the right balance of terrain and you should have other options other than the walls slowing you down.
  4. Where is Greensburg? By Pitt? Edit: I suppose I could just look it up... I'm from PA (Bethlehem) and just want to know what's in my area for if I'm ever home for a weekend and need to escape the family, haha.
  5. I voted because it said "Bad Lucidicide" not ban! I knew I'd been bad Also, I figured someone would point it out eventually, and I could point out how TheBugKing made yet another mistake in writing this poll up
  6. At the end of the day, models have no facing, so nothing is ever behind anything :-P
  7. 13 out of 14 votes are against me. I guess I shall retreat. :imsorry: :wavey:
  8. Did you copy these from this guy who plays at a store near me? They look just like this... except not as good.
  9. Also, this post is to make my post count a bit higher.
  10. Haha. My wife and children see me plenty. It's mostly work that suffers Also, did you know the sun burns? What is THAT about?
  11. I don't have the patience for understanding, sorry.
  12. Oh man, you didn't even spell *his* name correctly. You're falling apart!
  13. Maybe you should have had the patience to look up my name and spell it correctly :-P
  14. This is as I know it: Yes Yes, but I would specify any Duels (not flips), and just from your deck, not from your hand. Yes Yes Yes
  15. Haha. Thanks I actually got that part. I mean that this is under the assumption that you know you're facing her and are building your crew around that. The other option is that you don't know, and then you have to deal with it. The first option would involve crew selection and utilization. The second can only really involve crew utilization.
  16. So this is all with the assumption that you know what master/crew you're going up against, right?
  17. Looks good! Do you have from the back and/or a different angle as well?
  18. Also, what kind of excuse is this? There are no Neverborn on that island.
  19. I believe the application says to attach the pictures to the e-mail as opposed to the application itself.
  20. Welcome to the club There's a lot of information out on this forum, but if you have any questions, there's a responsive community out there willing to help!
  21. I have not used her yet, but have read many posts. I think people can really go either way on her. She can be fairly adaptable and do some good melee damage. You are paying for that, though, especially as a merc. I guess my question to you is whether you want to field Misaki (in which case, do it!) or whether you want to make your crew stronger (in which case, figure exactly what she's bringing that you can't get elsewhere). That's my two cents.
  22. It depends a lot on how quick on the uptake people are I think the important things to stress are the basic rules. I agree that navigating something with a lot of abilities can seem hard, but it helps to focus people. If you can explain an activation and get people to focus on general actions, it's a lot easier. Don't talk to people about casting Obey, show them how a basic attack duel works. In showing people the game, I've had the most luck just going over how activation works and how the cards work. Models' abilities they can read and try to use on their own after they have a feel for how things play out. I find it works pretty well.
  23. At least two people said yes on the meetup
