  1. judging from the stories in the book, it seems that there is no real friendly relationships between any of the factions... sometimes there is professional courtesy at best, but even that is rare to find... hell, even people that are from the same group in game terms are opposed to each other in the fluff
  2. even with terrifying i dont really see the big nephy hangin out with anyone besides Lily... however i think convict is a very good choice for almost any master in larger games, as well as ronin
  3. on terrain? not at all i doubt anyone will have a problem with that i know on minis though (excluding bases), most tournaments require that the majority of the model be from the range of minis thats supposed to be used for the game... however, with so many models in Mfx that dont exist to go with the rules there are for them, i think a model that a judge deems fitting for the rules//fluff should be ok to use, just check with the TO
  4. and considering the doppy can use both its normal actions to walk, it can easily hide until the right time to come out and do what needs to be done
  5. as long as you get pacify//incite off, you can choose to do it again on another target, so potentially doing it a bunch of times with one model every turn
  6. oh i didnt realize convi is a rare 1... my b also just a note, dont forget the power of sacrificing a ronin with 1 or 2 wounds left to get 2 soul stones in return... totally worth it...
  7. but its still a great skill for reaching little cowards hiding behind friendly models many a squishy master (see: levy, pandy, ramos, etc...) could easily be killed with this in one turn with just a tad of luck (and cheating), crippling the rest of the crew...
  8. just as a note, self loathing is the spell that makes the target themselves with a ... project emotions: pity is the one that gives a to wp duels... playing a sorrow legion, a problem ive had against some crews is target saturation... its easy for us to deal with a few strong threats, where a lot of low//mid threats can be kind of dangerous... and like said, the SS gap can be a big problem (especially when trying to protect 2 masters with one small pool) that being said, i think your last list is closer to what you might want... IMO, i would try ditching hamelin (heresy, i know, but stick with me) for a cheap name (see: taelor, johan, another gunslinger) and then adding another ronin (which are fantastic, and given theyre combat stats//abilities, can take out or seriously weaken lots of models in a sorrow crew and still make a decent retreat) this would still leave you with 2, 4, or 5SS to use as needed... so maybe for one game you try: vikis ronin ronin gunslinger gunslinger, johan, or taelor
  9. dgraz did a good job answering your questions... just as a warning though, you may want to be careful when buying minis... ive become quite addicted to adding to my legion of sorrow, to the point where im considering NOT starting another small crew, at the risk that it will rapidly turn into another big crew (and thus a small wallet) but 2 boxes, decks, rules, and maybe a few blisters to compliment your starter crews should be more than enough to keep you occupied with Mfx for a long time... have fun playing
  10. if i ever start another crew it will be a samurai chick crew (so misaki is an obvious add), with taelor coming in as a heavy hitter for bigger games... i think both models are fantastic... with the vikis, ronin, misaki, and taelor, it should be a pretty sexy crew lol
  11. also considered the vikis, its a pretty straight forward box as well as almost any guild box... and like wombats said, 3 players works great (actually one of the things i like alot about the rules is that it can support any number of players if you really want it to) just be sure you dont get stuck in the middle of your opponents!
  12. im kind of a purist when it comes to list, so my 35ss list has pandy, the kids, 6 sorrows and poltergeist... teddy is also an obvious choice but definitely check out gunslinger
  13. thanks guys i actually have a few cases made kind of like that commando, except i use a dense green foam thats a little more soft and floppy... i just like the hard case that chessex makes, i just dont know how well it will fit a teddy... but ninja also brings up a good point... i might just find a small baking pan with a cover and put another order in for magnets...
  14. hey guys wondering what you all recommend for transport//storing your crews... obviously there are alot of different cases out there (gw, battlefoam, chessex, etc.) but i was wondering what you have found best for Mx minis, considering the bases are a bit larger than alot of other games... tonight i will be picking up the tiny (14 capacity) chessex case, but i dont know how good that will work when i pick up a teddy model in the future... so what have you guys found to be the best cases for crews with some bigger minis in them?
  15. yes, saving incite/pacifiy for your last action is a good way to get some damage done with pandora then retreat out of range of enemies and into range to be supported by the kids//sorrows...
