  1. Did you pay for priority shipping? I placed a similar order - replace your second teddy with alt and azoraida - and my shipping was 36 without priority shipping. It may be that teddy tipped the scales.
  2. I like that. Here is my neverborn list. Pawns - Alps (is that enough alps?) Rooks - Teddies or Stitched Knights - Riders Bishops - Lelu/Lilitu King - Dreamer Queen - Lilith ( or Insert your favourite female Neverborn master here.)
  3. Might be interested in some menoth. Will pm once listed if there's anything I'm looking for.
  4. I love chess but have to admit I had never thought of watching chess videos before. Now....faction based Malifaux chess sets......? I can see it.
  5. Marches through profile blowing a trombone! Tooot tooot tooot

  6. Love it. The mask on the shadow seer is hugely impressive. It all is really.
  7. 8903 on its way to the UK, now to run the customs gauntlet. Although I've not been desperate for it I have to say it's nice to know I'll soon be reading all the great fluff etc.
  8. I would have to ask how you think it is a good job? It was first opened for discussion when the decision had already been made. Vocal objections were made by the player base which were largely ignored. Then rankings attached retrospectively to past tournaments ensuring that those who had voiced an opinion which differs from your own were included in a ranking system nobody outside of Yorkshire seems to have asked for. If rankings were to be implemented despite objections surely a clean break would have been advisable with tournaments with attached ranking points clearly indicated. As I have previously stated I will be willing to give them a try and I recognise the efforts involved but it is surely plain to see that this situation has been terribly handled. Also the repeated pro posters are also few in number.
  9. This is how I feel too. I want my stuff as much as the next person but I am failing to understand the gnashing of teeth that's happening. When it arrives I will be pleased, until then I'll get on with other things.
  10. Already discussed and the offer's there. Looking forward to it.
  11. Keen to get to a few more tournies these days. Count me in.
  12. My thoughts pretty much echo these. Well done on getting it live, now to get painting.
  13. While not ideal you can download a version 2 Bete Noire card from the tab on the left. As Goblyn13 states the actual physical card can only be purchased from Wyrd's online store. I understand that faction decks may be on their way at some point in the future though.
  14. Just on that last part dolomyte, the study you cite is modern and hence in no way addresses the point raised about the ideal of beauty through the ages. Anyway, I imagine the thread will be locked in any event.
  15. As others have stated I believe the announcement saidthey would be available until Friday so when Friday arrives they stop being available. The extension to Wednesday was pretty generous as it was.
  16. Can you point me in the direction of these studies as that differs from my understanding, and am genuinely interested now. I was under the belief that the ideal size of a woman changed through the course of history - and cultures, as indeed there are still cultures where bigger women are considered more attractive - and that facial symmetry was the key to being considered beautiful. Histrorical conventions have also changed for men but thats a different story entirely.
  17. 1st ruleset available for download and testing for those interested. http://studiomcvey.com/forums/index.php?/topic/163-download-sedition-wars-alpha-v1-rules-cards/page__pid__1115#entry1115
  18. You certainly have and I must admit to missing the one main time that you had explained it earlier in the thread. I do understand your point and am pleased to see that you exclude the showgirls for the same reason as Sybelle. I do agree with Dolomyde however that better looking models are going to be bigger in game sellers. Despite this I do think that Wyrd do ok on the body range diversity front. Granted some ranges are more diverse, but at least there are a few models that we have been able to discuss on this front. I mean, whilst I love the look of Corvus Belli's Infinity females we would have no examples of diverse body shapes to discuss there. (Unless I have missed them, but I don't think so) EDIT: I should really have quoted Math from the top of the page, the discussion seems to have moved on since I started this post.
  19. Apologies for provoking your Ire, for what it is worth I was simply seeking to add to Dolomyte's list. I agree with your point of view on Molly, I certainly do not understand people's position that she carries any extra weight whatsoever. To be honest this question is not limited to tabletopgaming, films and advertisements have long realised sex sells, it's a little sad that it is the same for metal figures but it doen't make it any less true.
  20. I perhaps did not explain myself properly and for that I apologise. My little edit was insufficient. I too play numerous games and am looking to branch into others. I am definitely seeing a number of gamers in my area though who having become dis-illusioned with GW become almost militant to any business decision they disagree with from the new systems they explore and was wondering if others had noticed the same thing. I think there is a difference between that and being a discerning gamer. Also, I was looking to determine what draws people to, and pushes them away, from a particular game.
  21. Santiago is hardly a fat guy anyway. Just thought I would pop in to add Sybelle to the list.
  22. I agree, there are certainly fanboys around who end up so entrenched in their home system that everything else is just a terrible game whether they have actually tried it or not. I don't mind saying I have never and probably will never play Flames of War as it doesn't appeal to me, but I won't go around bad-mouthing it for pretty much that very reason.
  23. Back in the mists of time I played nothing but GW games - at the time I was ignorant of the fact that other games existed. I am not looking to start a merits of GW debate, but with their recent much publicised business decisions I think it is hard to argue that some previously staunchly loyal GW gamers have started to pick up crews/gangs armies for other games systems. In my experience I have noticed that a lot of these players become fickle gamers that then bounce from system to system the moment the new game company makes any kind of decision that they don't agree with. Just wondering if anyone else has noted the same thing or whether it is perhaps all in my head? What makes you stick with a game? What would make you throw your hands in the air and say 'that's it, i'm done here'? Edit: And I don't mean that people play a variety of games, I'm pretty sure most of us do that.
