  1. True, if he's planning on including all the rules it could certainly be detrimental, but a simple Crew constructor that prints out damage boxes would be quite handy and I highly doubt Wyrd would jump on him for it.
  2. It doesn't sound like he's trying to make a profit off it...
  3. Emelie Autumn seems to be pretty decent at putting me into the Malifaux mindset. She's a bit of an acquired taste, and most of her music has a classical feel to it, but she's got a lot of Victorian flare to her. "I know where you sleep" tends to get me into a Malifaux mindset: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KkVhxO9jaI&feature=related[/ame]
  4. I say he just starts with the PC (something everyone could use) and then worry about migration. =P
  5. I realize that was a rhetorical question, but I feel the need to share my distaste of "that company". I love their games, but can only describe my feelings towards them as dispassionate loathing. As for the cards, I'm looking to do similar things once I actually get my hands on the book and miniatures. :fing02:
  6. Dude, that Earthborn is sick! I bow down to your freehand skills, and you motivate me to practice more. =)
  7. Way above and beyond what's necessary for table top, damn good job. Did you free hand that Tat?
  8. Thanks for the info good sir, just wanted to make sure we weren't wasting our time with the purchase, as we're buying the models at the same time as the book. Again, thanks for the help fellas.
  9. My apologies, didn't notice, but still, for those of you who can bid on it it's available... ;
  10. It really depends on how you paint, if you use extremely watered down paints then not washing your model can be extremely detrimental, especially if you want to have a display quality peace. If you're someone who only uses a minute amount of water, or if you just take paint straight from the pot, then you're wasting your time washing the mini. It wont matter.
  11. Just fyi, there's a Gremlinette up on Ebay at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.com/Malifaux-Outcasts-Gremlinette-Miniature-Gen-Con-Promo_W0QQitemZ300390374193QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item45f0a95b31#ht_500wt_1182
  12. Quote of the day right there, you my good sir get a cookie.
  13. Thank you both for the quick response! I didn't realize there was a distinction between the two, I made the assumption that Outcasts were just treated as Mercenaries. Good to know. I that case, would all the models in the "Mercenaries Box Set (The Victorias)" count as Mercenaries (as the name implies) from a rules standpoint?
  14. I've yet to get my hands on the book, although I'm hoping to fix this in the near future, but I have a question regarding Brawls. More specifically I have a question about list construction with regards to dual Masters. From what I've manage to gather from this reference sheet, you appear to be able to use an Outcast Master with any of the Masters from the other forces within the same Crew. Now I have 2 questions about this: Since you now have an Outcast Master does this wave the restriction that's normally placed on the number of Outcasts Minions you can take? Since you now have an Outcast Master do you still have to pay +1 to hire Outcast units? To get even more specific a friend of mine wants to build a Viktorias crew, but he also fell in love with the model for Lady Justice and would like to combine them in Brawls. So would it be possible for him to build a crew with nothing but Outcast Minions with both Lady Justice and the Victorias at the reigns? I appreciate the assistance. =)
  15. Quite awesome man, very well done and I look forward to future renditions. =) When I get more comfortable with the system (and get my crew all painted up) I shall have to dip my hand into this vid-report stuff.
  16. Bad ass man! =) Congrats on the interview, and well done.
  17. Wyrd should hire Mr. T as there Mascot at conventions so he can walk around screamin " Ah pitty da Malifoo' "
  18. I was curious how people were handling this, good to know. =)
  19. I agree with Gilbearfor mostly, I think it would be best for them to release an up-to-date errata in the back of any expansion books they release in the future. This way they don't have to waste money with re-prints while players can still rely purely on printed material. That being said, in a few years after they've released an expansion or two with accompanying erratas, I would likely re-purchase an updated core rulebook with all the errata changes incorporated. This would make life quite a bit easier as having to look up rules in multiple locations, while necessary and helpful, can get frustrating mid game. So I choose numero dos Trebek
  20. Hell yah, the Jenga mechanic is amazingly awesome for tense horror settings. With a story teller who's up to snuff I've seen my playgroup actually cover their eyes while someone's pulling, and during climactic moments every starts holding there breath on every pull. It's priceless. =) Look forward to giving the Malifaux world a try with it.
  21. I have the full intention of running a game of Dread using the Malifaux setting, it fits so perfectly. Dread is a system designed around suspense and horror type gameplay, so Malifaux is just a perfect fit! =)
  22. Thanks, I look forward to making the leap! =) A couple of my friends have already agreed to dive in with me, we're quite excited to put it through its paces.
  23. I want! Never really looked at the Citadel terrain piece, as I always thought they were extremely overpriced without offering much in the way of quality. This kit actually looks decent though, with the modifications that guy made it turned out quite well. Thanks for the link. =)
  24. Just joined the boards myself, I reside in Leesburg, VA so I'm a bit of a drive away from you but it's doable. Lookin' at a solid hour in half trek one way. Finding a place in the middle is always an option though. =)
  25. Oh trust me, I plan to spread the plague far and wide. =P It's kind of what I do within my playgroup. =) And I again must iterate how much I appreciate the low entry fee you guys have, it makes the whole "starting a new game" thing less daunting as I try to muster interest amongst my friends. You can expect a full report in the future I'm sure. =) While I haven't obtained it yet, For my initial purchase I intend to nab myself the Pandora starter box along with a Teddy. I love the Teddy model, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! XD So I just found the most logical starter box to throw him in with, and going off appearance alone that seemed to be Pandora. And I don't doubt there's been a bit of a migration as of late, I was getting quite fed up with the FT forums. Thank god they nuked it after it ended, the amount of whining/hating/e-drama that spawned was headache inducing. >.>; Thankfully it's died down now, but I wont lie, if it wasn't for all the forum annoyances keeping me away from the PP boards, I may not have stumbled across this beaut. =)
