Great primer, I am even more eager to pick up Kirai now

Looking very nice so far, I too am always wanting to improve my technique

Kirai for me, I cant wait. Even have all the bamboo bases done (and here me having just picked up McM as well)

I use P3 and Vallejo, both very good ranges. I still have some GW paints but am phasing them out as I need replacements. I do use the GW washes though, they are great for quick shading and tinting

Cheers for the replies, I thought it was a little lunacy but with Hangmans Knot there still is some manipulation of movement, I'll have this changed with one hanged going out and being subbed by 2 Belles for the 40ss. I suppose it give a few more bodies and a bit bit more flexiblity

Well I am heading into a 3month league later this week and decided to try out a few things that I have been thinking with Seamus that I havent seen around here yet. I know typically Ressers work with a few cheap models but I dont have any Canine Remains yet so decided to go for a few more expensive models and see how that fairs. The laegue format is pick 40ss at the beginning and games are at 25ss which have to be picked form the 40ss My 40ss Seamus Copycat Killer - 2 Grave Spirit - 1 Madame Sybelle - 6 Rotten Belle - 4 The Hanged - 8 The Hanged - 8 Bete Noir - 9 38SS I was thinking of something pretty crazy for 25ss really going to town on Morale and WP. Seamus Sybelle The Hanged The Hanged or swapping out Sybelle for a Belle and the Copycat Killer I know its low on models but each one is very difficult to put down (spirits, hard to wound, regen etc) and each one is terrifying plus Seamus' -2 Wp aura and The Hanged's abilities to ignore bonuses to Wp means that I should control some crews quite well (obviously not an all comers list but I can see it being able to wreak havoc on Guild, Marcus, Lilith and some Outcasts) Thoughts?

Well had the game against Lilith last night and we both ended up playing a claim jump and each went for eye for an eye and bodyguard. We had a nice temple structure in the centre and I decided to play the crew a lot tighter than last game with a lot of mutual support. Seamus got Undead Psychosis off on Lilith straight away and had Sybelle follow him up then slingshot a Belle onto the edge of the objective. The next round Sybelle received a diving charge from a Mature Nephalim and survived only to beat it to death in reatliation, most of the game was a bit of a blur as my crew took apart all of Lilith's minions, in the end only Lilith was left on the board and all I had lost was the Copycat killer (didnt help that he linked a Sorrow to him) Keeping the crew tight gave me a lot of options as to the use of companion and I really saw how incredibly powerful all the willpower effects that Seamus brings to the table are. The Hanged are definitely going to be a good addition, I am also learning a bit about crew composition too, Sybelle and Seamus are tanks and maybe just one more Belle to start with would be necessary, looking forward to the next round and I think at this stage I will just stick with adding Bete as she will give some good combat potential to the crew

Cheers Guys, I am considering dropping Bete for a Hanged and some dogs, I have Punk Zombies but dont really want to run them yet. I'm not sure if I really can/should swap anything out at the 25ss list but definitely open at 35ss

Well the first round was a loss but it proved a valuable lesson none the less. I was up against Nicodem and he just hid in his corner behind a lot of terrain, I shouldnt have played into his hands by rushing to him but boy did Seamus prove he is tough to take down, it took 3 turns of Nico's entire Crew trying to take him apart. If I wasnt quite as agressive it would have worked out better I think. Round 2 is now up against Lilith, of which I think the 25ss list I put up earlier should work out ok, plan is to pick on just a couple of models a turn with Belles luring, Sybelle tanking and the other 3 finishing off whatever they can get their mits on.

Well in just over a weeks time I am taking part in a min 3 week escalation league 3 games, same master throughout build on crew from week prior. There is an even spread of factions and no one has chosen duplicate masters. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on tweaks or things to do differently. Well I have Seamus and his Belles and was looking at adding Betty to the crew but she is quite expensive so I was wondering two things what size game do think she performs best at and how do you use Betty. I like the sytlised painting, the look quite striking and a very coherent crew

Love the comic book feel of the model, I feel a few minis in the Malifaux line really pop with this style of painting
