  4. Gamer's Ground will be hosting a Malifaux Tournament on July 25th, 2010. Location of event is of course at Gamer's Ground, Artha Gading Mall, Basement Level. Rules for the tourney: 25SS games, 1 Strategy + 2 Schemes each games. Uses the Encounter rule from the Malifaux Rulebook(for special terrains and events).
  5. Pandora dominates against almost every opponent except Perdita. Perdita proves to be very effective against almost all crew in the League. The Guild Austringers are also very effective in hurting the enemies from behind cover.
  6. League is over The League is participated by 7 players with these armies: Guild(Sonnia Criid), Guild(Perdita Ortega), Neverborn(Lilith), Neverborn(Pandora), Arcanist(Marcus), Arcanist(Ramos), Ressurectionist(McMourning). League participation is quite good, some new players will be joining the next league(scheduled for next month).
  7. Hey guys, just want to inform those who lives in Jakarta that there will be a Malifaux League at Gamer's Ground. Date: 28 March 2010-30 April 2010 City: Jakarta, Indonesia Location: Gamer's Ground, Artha Gading Mall, Basement Level. Since most of the players are still new the league will use 25ss Crews(1 list) in Scrap format with 2 schemes. Come and join the fun!
  8. How about using ArmyCalc? I just found out about it today. It could be a good alternative to Army Builder And it's free Now we just need someone to create a Malifaux ruleset for ArmyCalc.
  9. Listened to it just now and I think you guys did a great review. The story at the end is also great. Looking forward to hear more Malifaux stuff from the podcast.
  10. Here's my Perdita Ortega, reposed by my friend and painted by another friend.
  11. Did 4 demos totalling 5 hours of demo(actually 5.5 hours since the last demo went quite awhile after 21.00). The demo was a success, gaining three new players and one of them even bought two starters. Next event: Malifaux League
  12. As of today my auto-include for Guild crews are 2 Austringers. Put them behind terrain features like a wall, forests, a house or whatever and just shoot away. Attack twice, activate the other Austringer, attack twice again and then activate any 1 model of your choice. My friend still yells imba for hours after the match. Can't wait for the models to be released. Well worth their 5ss cost.
  13. Check nerdelemental's newbie primer, here: http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7657
  14. lol, would love to see Loveless as a Master.
  15. I've tought about that too. And with soulstone cost of 4 I suppose you're still better off with Scales of Justice which costs only 2. You could try Austringers though. Haven't tried it, but I will in a few days. I'll let you know how they fare(both Student of Conflict with Lady J and the Autringers).
  16. We need more votes for Malifaux I voted for Malifaux of course.
  17. Going to do another demo, this time at the Gamer's Ground store itself(last one was at Dice Con, a Gamer's Ground event). Date: 20 February 2010 Time: 16.00-21.00 City: Jakarta, Indonesia Location: Gamer's Ground, Artha Gading Mall, Basement Level. Four crews available: Lady J starter, Som'er Teeth starter, Sonnia Creed starter and Perdita(not from starter). Demo will start after the weekly tournament of Vandaria Wars(an Indonesian TCG).
  18. A solid 25 SS crew I think I suggest adding the Executioner if you're going to play 30 SS You can also swap Scales of Justice with Student of Conflict. Giving Fast to Lady Justice is pretty sweet.
  19. Well, the second and last day of Dice-Con is over. It's a small convention but very tiring nonetheless. But I'm quite happy with the amount of interest people show to Malifaux on the event. A few TCG players went to check the game out, even some of the Warmachine and Warhammer players. I did around 8 demo matches. Totalling to about 10 hours of demo. 4 Demos on the first day and 4 on the second. A few them are now interested in buying and will order some starting crew to play. Overall, the demo is quite a success and I can't wait to host the next Malifaux event(a tournament) and do more demo on the next con(there'll be another one in a few month). Here's some photo of the Demo:
  20. Hi and welcome What kind of crew would you like to play? it all depends on your play style. The Guild Crews are all straightforward and easy to use. Lady J excels in melee, Perdita in ranged combat and Sonnia in fighting with spellcasters(although she is also quite flexible, able to fight well in both melee and ranged). Ressers are also quite fun. McMourning is a very strong fighter, Seamus and his belle could lure and beat up anyone anyday and Nicodem will swarm your enemy with mindless zombies...bolstered mindless zombies no less
  21. I think "friendly models" includes Lady J herself. It didn't say "other friendly models" and I assume Lady J is friendly to herself
  22. you can play bigger games of course. People usually play with 25-35ss I think.
  23. I'd say buy'em all, but you can use the Pandora box set + Teddy. Baby Kade works well with Teddy anyway.
