  1. Aye, the detail on that little model is a bit lacking... But i would argue that the dreamer is in the same boat. Freehand would have been the answer, but I dont know how well that would have turned out.
  2. Thank you all for the feedback! Always nice to show off a bit. The stitched: they were the first minis I finished in this set. Its hard to get the "burlap sack" look just so, and it might be the flash and the dulcoat that make them look wet. I used a bit of wood stain to get a natural color to them, and in person they just look like really dirty cloth. Alice: Its the pictures. Her face being obstructed from three sides made it hard to paint at times, but at the same time, id be ok with her being the plain unassuming child from which these nightmares come from. But I'm probably still going to take a second look when i get home tonight. I like the dreamer model, but i messed up his face a bit during cleaning and just went with something else that ended up working well. Thanks all! M
  3. I finally finished my dreamer crew! So glad to have one fully painted crew and I am psyched as to how well they came out. I primarily used washes and inks on white primer to get a water color feel. I switched out the dreamer with a "tough Alice" mini that I liked a little more. Nothing better than a little girl with an attitude standing on a pile of skulls. The bases were just a nice juxtaposition to the soft colors of the minis. They are from Micro Art Studios. Cheers! M
  4. Thanks already! I think i am going to follow the tried and true strategy of getting into a new mini game of "get the ones you think look the coolest" So justice and winter it is. I’m coming from 40k and warmachine, missing the skirmishes of the days of old Mordheim, but Wyrd looks too good to pass up. I guess my next question is can anyone summarize in a few words the play style of the starters? Like touch melee vs glass cannon shooters etc. Thanks again already!
  5. Greetings forum crew! So after a month or so of increasing curiosity of this new game popping up on different sites, i finally decided to jump in to this. Boy was i excited to find out Wyrd is based out of Atlanta as well. Hawt. I'm going to pick up the book and one (maybe two) starters in the next day or so. So my questions for you all is this: What would be a good set of starters to get to showcase the game to others as well? I personally am looking at the winter box (love the winter themed minis), and maybe the justice box. Any advice?
