  1. Rulespack added. Don't expect the day to be too serious, and I expect to see Xmas jumpers!
  2. As Tom says there are some top players in attendance, but when not playing their main rivals they will play in such a way that you'll learn loads and not grind you into the ground. I always aim to have a fun atmosphere to events, and the Malifaux community is great for achieving this.
  3. I'll be at the store late afternoon to set up, and am also staying at the Premier Inn. Store opens at 5pm.
  4. Yes, and thats from when everyone is at their table.
  5. Here are the strats and schemes for Saturday. Also if you can pre-register on Bag o Tools that would help speed things up on the day. Trophies and swag have arrived, and don't forget to bring money for the raffle as we have some great prizes. Round 1 Corrupted Ley Lines/Wedge deployment Breakthrough/Detonate Charges/Assassinate/Let Them Bleed/Research Mission Round 2 Break The Line/Flank deployment Detonate Charges/Vendetta/Claim Jump/Hidden Martyrs/Spread Them Out Round 3 Symbols of Authority/Standard deployment Vendetta/Death Beds/Catch & Release/Outflank/Bait & Switch
  6. This will be a 3 episode story encounter for fixed Master (and Title) crews to finish off the year with a bit of fun. Not ranked, random prizes and mince pies. Venue: Boards & Swords, Derby DE21 4BJ Rulespack now added. Ticket details below. Players Rob Hallam Oliver Lonsdale Emma Newnham Alyx Drake Ross Mason Joe Jackson David Attwell Attwell Jnr Merry Malifaux! | Facebook Rules Pack - Merry Malifaux - Dec21.pdf
  7. My image was that the official Nightmare Master would represent the 'standard' Madter, and that you could proxy the new alt. However if you wanted to run fixed alt title then I suppose that would be OK, unless the alt is particularly different (like Mah for example).
  8. We are currently at 23 players, with space for more. If you are planning to attend please get you ticket by next weekend so that I can order trophies & swag. We have prize support from Wyrd, which will go into the raffle alongside a Deep Cut Studios mat and some other goodies. Although Malifaux Burns will only just be available, I have decided that all models from it will be allowed. You will need suitable models* (to be pre-agreed with me beforehand) and 2 copies of a physical card (so your opponent can have one). Also when declaring your Master you MUST declare if you are using the new Title at this phase (not as part of crew declaration) - and you should share the stat card at this point. For those running Nightmare crews I will accept non-Wyrd based models that are in theme. * existing sculpts cannot be used for alt titles or new models without suitable modification. If you want to have both Master variants available, you will need 2 models.
  9. My intent is to allow them, as that's what is in the tournament pack, people are working on suitable sculpts, and there's not much chance to practice before the Nationals. Players will need a physical card for anything from the new book.
  10. There will be some sort of meal on Saturday evening. I need to get one of the locals to look into it for me
  11. Just paid for this. Could you please update the entry list? Location is close to the city centre and certainly not on the outskirts of Coventry.
  12. I won't be releasing the pools in advance, mainly because I won't be sorting them out until Saturday
  13. You can pre-register on Bag o Tools which will speed things up on the day.
  14. Also worth posting on Facebook Malifaux UK group. There are some other groups in the North West
  15. Me. I can be there in the afternoon too if you need help with set up.
  16. Love the idea for the workbenches. For impassable terrain I use cotton reels. Also, I don't believe there were ever physical sculpts for Collette or Cassandra. @jovialevilUnstitched is a much better game than the original PW (having played both), and the plastic sculpts are just amazing compared to the metal ones. Having painted a full set of metals I then just HAD to do it all again with the plastic ones.
  17. Obviously some similarities to Malifaux/TOS, but even the use of the fate decks is different.
  18. I have taken both Lady J and Seamus PW crews to events, with some conversions to make usable crews. That was in M2E though, so I need to review for M3E (so thanks to @solkanfor the details above. My Scales of Justice is fine, but not sure about Phiona! Its also a great excuse to use those lovely coloured bases to convert to 30mm.
  19. I'm a sucker for pins, but also prefer to support my LGS for regular releases. So will the pins be available outside of Gen Con weekend purchases?
  20. Is there any plan for Friday afternoon/evening? Luckily I can be down early, so can help set up tables if you like. It was also mentioned about possibly playing The Other Side, so I can bring that (inc a mat) and can also bring Puppet Wars.
  21. This will be the second tournament of the year at Boards & Swords in Derby, and take place on Sunday 3rd October. I will be acting as TO (and spare player if we have odd numbers). 3 rounds of GG2 action, and maybe the last event before the alt title Masters are let loose on the tournament scene. £20 entry including lunch (pizza). Details & tickets: (2) Malifaux - Sword of Justice Event | Facebook Players Jamie Varney Matt Lewin Radek Bry Carl Lee Oliver Lonsdale Jesper Kaldenbach Oz Goff Liam Stubbs Jonathan Cooper Dan Brown Luke Whitrow Mike Entwhistle Elliott Dalton Richard Brown Michael Thompson
