  1. Damn dude! That's an amazing looking dragon. I love the work you put into it, especially on the base - the marble effect on the pillar is lovely. I'm sure that it'll make an amazing centerpiece to your WoC army.
  2. Agreed on the "what're you facing" question. Guild can do many, many things. Another thing that I would point out for Seamus is that his gun pops Death Marshals like crazy. First time I played against him, my opponent and I were both amazed by how quickly they went down - one shot, two at the most. Against a Justice/Marshals list (or anyone using the Marshals, for that matter) your big fear is gonna be the master.
  3. Sexy. Can't wait till I get my first paycheck, I've been thinking about trying to get/put together one of these... this might be just the ticket.
  4. That too. It's a technique I haven't had much chance to play around with, but I'm looking forwards to it. It seems rather more useful with The Executioner over Justice, because his defense is even worse than hers, and he's got nothing he can do at range, unlike Lady Justice. If you don't mind being a jerk, it's also a kinda cheesy way to protect yourself if your opponent gets Assassinate, or you choose Bodyguard.
  5. I love Pine Box as a fluffy power, but as a useful combat ability it's spotty. The big issues with it are that it's a 2-action spell, and that it's hard to get off. It's not something you can throw out any old time, it's something you need to plan for, and get lucky. First, because it's a 2-action with a melee range, you're going to need to get that Death Marshal into melee and wait a turn before you can pull it off. This can be circumvented with stuff that makes you move the Death Marshal without activating him, such as Obey. The other thing is the Death Marshals don't have a great cast stat, and they need a crow. You're going to need to have a card in your hand that you're sure will get the spell off, or else you shouldn't bother trying. All that being said, it's an extraordinarily useful spell. It'll grab someone and hopefully keep them off for several turns, at least. You just need to remember to plan it out.
  6. She's too good. :bigthumb: No, like you, I'm amazed by the amount of hate I've seen for her, from what I've played (against her, I've never tried using her) she hits like a sledgehammer and can do it well in melee, magic, and even decently in shooting. She's the least specialized, and possibly hardest to play of the Guild masters, but neither of those are really bad things. I'd guess the hate stems from the second, seeing as the Guild is something of a "starter" faction in some people's eyes - they're fairly simple, each in a single role, and that role is easy to learn. Sonia bucks those trends, but again, really not a bad thing. (In my eyes, at least)
  7. Do you think that McMourning cares that much about hygiene? I'd bet those are the same gloves he does his dishes with! To the OP, I do love the subdued tones of McMourning's crew (and the yellow gloves!), it's a look I've never seen on them before, and it is a good one.
  8. *Salutes drunkenly, then falls over* What's reputation when there are rumors (not wishlisting, honest. I've never even run Hamelin) to be had?
  9. I've heard rumors that Hamelin may get a promotion to master in an expansion. Don't remember exactly WHERE I heard this, so shake some salt in that wound. ...Wait, I think I got that wrong. Ah well.
  10. Hello there Wyrdos. I, strangely enough, am still alive. For those who never met me, I lurked on here around the time of the release, until I couldn't keep up with the flood of new posts and slowly stopped coming here. Until recently, that is. See, in an effort to keep my urge to paint going, I resolved with the new year to paint a model every two weeks. I quickly failed this, but it got me into the painting mood, which I turned upon my current project - Lady Justice and The Death Marshals (which I insist, and will keep doing so, sounds like a band name). Therefore, I decided that there was no better place to post up some pictures and get some truly Wyrd feedback than here. So, I give you the three models I have (Probably) finished thus far - Justice herself, and two of the Death Marshals. Yes, probably. I am as of yet rather unhappy with the base on Lady Justice, and the pictures just make it look worse. Haven't yet decided what to do with it, or just leave it as is. Aaaaanyway, here we are. Death Marshal 1 Front Right Side - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/75616-Death%20Marshal%201%2C%20Right%20Side.html?m=2 Left Side - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/75615-Death%20Marshal%201%2C%20Left%20Side.html?m=2 Back - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/75614-Death%20Marshal%201%2C%20Back.html?m=2 Of these three models, this one is the oldest. I did him for the FAIL Halloween event (and took second place), and have done a few touch-ups on him since (even after I took these pictures). He might look a bit different because I forgot the mixes I used for his coffin and coat in my hiatus from painting these guys, so I made new ones for the second Death Marshal. Death Marshal 2 No Flash The w/flash picture gives a somewhat better view of the OSL (which, this zoomed in, looks a lot chalkier than I thought it did) - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/77494-Death%20Marshal%202%2C%20flash.html Lady Justice No Flash After much trying, this was basically the only good picture I could get of her without the flash. I need a better camera/picture setup. Her Hair - Flash - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/77496-Lady%20Justice%20w%252F%20flash.html This one shows the base, and you can probably see why I'm not happy with it. Also, I've already fixed the chip on her leg, so don't bother pointing that out. Group shot of what I've got done Strangely enough, in this picture most of what I'm unhappy with in the photos fades away. Perhaps I should take more from this distance. Anyway, you can see the base again, it just looks... there. As I said, the pictures make it worse, but it doesn't really add anything to the model. Anyway, as usual comments, questions, ect. please share them.
  11. I like it! Glad to see someone else has had the idea of brighter marshals.
  12. Amazing, just amazing, I love how, while most of them have very separate color schemes, there are subtle ties that pull them all together - the purple on Swordmaster Vicktoria, Taelor, and Misaki, and the blue on Bounty Hunter Viktoria, Bishop, and Taelor. Heck, even Johan's pants, Hans' cloak, and Taelors hair kinda tie together. Overall, a wonderful looking crew.
  13. I'm amazed it took two pages to bring this up, it was the first thing I though of when I saw it.... Damn, now I want to read those again. Anyway, this is on my list of wants.
  14. I like it. Wings and flying creatures have always been a bit of a wonder to me, and having some options for making winged minis is wonderful.
