  1. I'm ****ed that Wyrd is making new plastic versions of models I already have in metal. I'm forced to buy them because they are so cool. Then, I have to paint them again, which is like me giving Wyrd free work...well...it's something like that, anyway. Sorry, this is the thread we come with our ridiculous, 1st world problems, right?
  2. Fight fire with fire and bring Killjoy.
  3. I don't have my cards on me and I am having trouble recalling the name of the upgrade, but I really like Mortimer with Ca expert. Being able to walk and drop a corpse counter has been pretty great in my Nico crew. Then, once things get going, start throwing crap witht the shovel and let the movement shenanigans roll. I think he is a pretty easy to use support piece and don't quite get what else people want him to do...
  4. I put together a bunch of the older and newer Mali plastics (Rail Crew, Yan Lo et al, J Lynch, UoT, Seamus, Lazarus, etc) and find them to be phenomenal. Even the small bits fit well. I wonder what people are referring to when stating they are difficult to build? Now painting them? Whole other story, lol.
  5. Wowza, that looks great! I can't wait to see the details on the K'starter.
  6. Meh, I find that to be boring. I quite enjoyed wading her and her bro into the thick of it...now she is just a plain shooter, imo. No big, play her if you want. I have lots-o-crews, so I'll just play them. *with El Mayor, I can still sort of get away with it, but it's just not the same. Also, not saying she isn't good anymore--just a lil boring to me.
  7. Well Perdita, it was fun, but I just don't see what you are the best at anymore?
  8. I really like your basing--and I think our Morts are twins. Good job on these, I hope Malifaux gets entrenched there like it is here in Milwaukee. We have a good enough crowd going to make this a great second to the WM/40K crowds.
  9. I'd say your basing is very good, bordering on great. I'm jealous, as my basing skills are non-existant bordering on nightmarish.
  10. Seriously, that red on Dionne is sublime. It made me whisper "holy crap" to myself.
  11. I'm loving the 'freshly dug' aspect of the dirt. Nice job.
  12. This is something I would like to get into. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with some Testors Dullcote once and spoiled two really hard-worked models. I've had cold feet ever since. Any suggestions? BTW, thanks for the props folks! I'm pumped to go bust out some more Malifaux now. I have the Guv'nah's Proxy and the Ortegas lined up for the Guild next, but I may have to split that up with Seamus and some Resurrectionist totems. Ugh! Too many good models!
  13. Here is the current state of my Guild and Outcasts (some bits and bases still need work): I got a game in with the crew on Saturday, sans the Outcasts (Killjoy is more for my Resurrectionists). Lady J was the last woman standing, fresh from an assassination on Lilith! Please enjoy and feel free to leave C&C—I can use the tips. Thanks!
  14. Those colors really pop--in a good way. It's has that certain 'Lewis Carol' feel to it. Thanks for sharing.
  15. The Executioner's hairy chest makes me want to vomit. Goob job, indeed--very impressed.
  16. Yet another use for Gryphone sepia. Love that stuff. Freaking great model too, OP. Is the rest of the crew going to continue the wall/building?
  17. Great job on Candy's face. Are those DA resin inserts? I was thinking of using a 50mm for my Killjoy.
  18. Got my cards today, with a little personal note from Vickey Caroland (Nathan's better half?), reading : Here's hoping the cat feels better! Thanks Wyrd, this kind of service goes a long way with people like me. I won't forget it!:top:
  19. A quick sit rep: Continuing the trend of being ultra-helpful and very cool, Nathan sent out new cards to me for the very cheap cost of $0.00. Thanks, man!
  20. Sexy!! I dig the Nephilim scheme in red.
  21. Wow. Who'd thunk a thread about cat puke could bubble over into an intelligent discussion on IP v. Fair Use? As a a photographer, I'm fairly clear as to what I can and can't do with creative material I've bought. Thanks, though. @ Sketch: Ba-dum-bump. Pssssh.
  22. Nah, a little yak wouldn't stop me. Work, however, had other ideas. I did get a game in with Fool though (I'll be picking up my gravestone soon). His Perdita crew got the best of my McMourning, but I bet he's glad I forgot to use Organ Donor. Ah, good times. @Nathan--I'll email you pronto. In the meantime, I've made some very bland stand-ins. @Breten--I may have to hit you up if Nathan ignores me...:violin:
  23. Maybe I am overstating it to call this a disaster, but I do have a number of demo dates coming up, plus a tourney next month, so I am unsure what to do at this point... I came home the other day to find that my cat had hacked a hairball and all the accompianing goo all over my stat cards! The pile of cards was uncovered and a bit staggered, so the damn feline managed to get every single card from all four of my crews. When I found it, it had already dried. I tried prying them apart, but that wasn't happening. I tried soaking them and that didn't work either. I am now left with twenty unreadable and rather gross stat cards for my crews. Aside from launching my cat to the moon with my bare hands so it NEVER, EVER goes near my cards again, what can I do about this? I PM'd Nathan, but I didn't get a response (we all know how busy that man is). I'm sure he has about a zillion better things to do. Does anyone know if/when cards will be sold seperately? Anyone have access to a scanner? Help!!!!
  24. Very cool. I'm pretty jealous of that mini...
