Copied over from wamp: Posted by Captain Sprout In the spirit of the Privateer Press entry I had something I ordered arrive as something else completely and have no use for some of the models (and I don't like them!). Got these http://www.diver.pt/loja/images/Cryx...tch_Thrall.jpg Didn't order them and only rather like the thingy in the middle (no idea what it is or why) so will keep that. If anyone wants two of the things on the right and the thing on the left let me know..if you paint them up for the comp in some shape or form you can have them for nothing, first come first served. So if anyone is interested pm captain sprout here or at wamp or failing that myself. The privateer press category has 2 x $50 credit up for grabs and you can even have a free mini to enter with!!

  12. Nathan/Eric - hope this is ok to put up here? Over at wamp we are going to be running a group tutorial with Ritual, so i thought i would post here for anyone that may be interested in participating: Ritual (Anders Eklund) is one of Wyrd's studio painters and a gold medal winner at World Expo so its a great chance to learn from a top painter This is the first of what i hope will be many 'paint along' tutorials. Many of you wanted a group project to work through together so i have taken that concept a little further. So heres how it works: Anders had kindly agreed to lead this process. He will paint up parts of the mini and show us how he did - you can then go and repeat the process on your own copy of that mini. Then there will be another step and so on. As everyone is doing the same mini with the same process it gives us a great opportunity to see how we are doing and where we may be going wrong. The mini Anders has chosen is Sebastian , the morgue assistant from Wyrd miniatures Anders actually painted the studio version you see before you. So if you want to take part you will need a copy of Sebastian all cleaned and ready to go. We will be giving some time for you to order and get these but if you intend working along then let us know. The more people the better To participate just goto: http://wamp-forum.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=33417#33417 you need to be a wamp member but its free to join

In the event of an entrant winning more than one prize they will receive the prize of highest value - any subsequent prizes will be awarded to the next highest placed entrant. All entries must be new work within the last 3 months and previously unpublished in other contests You give Wamp and Armorcast permission to use your pictures for publicity (but you do retain owenrship) You may post pictures of WIP or final shots both here and elsewhere Judging will be carried out by a special guest judge: He is a man that is synonymous with armorcast , creator of many of its products, so who better to judge than mr Shawn lux or Shawn RL as he is also known The deadline for submission is 16th November 2009 6pm GMT IF you are a wamp supporter then you benefit from an extended dealine which will be 72 hours later at 6pm 19th October GMT (for details on becoming a wamp sponsor please visits the announcements section) Submissions must be posted to the Armorcast contest album All entries must feature Armorcast miniatures only. 17. dina dina dina dina RATMAN!!

  18. The wait is over - the results for the first ever Wamp special are in. Judged by Wyrd's very own Rob Cardiss (aka Demonherald) I have pleasure in announcing first place goes to...... Landreth! with his beautiful version of Perdita. [url=http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z93/darklordminiatures/Perdita.jpg] 2nd place goes to Jabberwocky! with his lovely Witchling Stalker 3rd place goes to Boris! with her version of Ramos and finally 4th place goes to Darklord with his Convict Gunslinger. I just want to say well done to the winners especially Landreth and well done to everyone else that entered. I know Rob had a hard time choosing these 4 and there were several that nearly made it. I really didnt think we would have so many entries (21!) let alone at such a great standard. it really has set a fantastic benchmark for all the wamp specials to come in the future and i hope we can support those as well as this one. we have a gamezone one running now if anyone is interested in that. also a big thankyou to Wyrd for sponsoring this contest for us. we all love your stuff!
  19. Hilly Billy silly willy.....oooh look a goat - just kidding!

  20. ooh intriguing. now if yu can sell a wyrd time stopper so i can squeeze all this painting in then im sold!
