  1. Yes, May 26th is the French release date - as I've stated before, the English release should be around October (we might have some stock at Gencon Indy). The boxes contain a set of quickstart rules and enough minis to field a complete warband. Extra troops/characters will be available in blisters separately, if players want to swap troops/characters around or make bigger warbands. Expect the english Helldorado blog to start moving soon.
  2. I think the title says it all. Expect it to move slowly for the next couple of months, but to pick up speed around early summer, I'd say... http://helldoradogame.blogspot.com/
  3. Am I the only one who feels like giving that troll a hug? It's so cute!
  4. I'm still looking for my jaw - it hit the floor about ten minutes ago and I'm still missing a piece. Good to see you back with a brush in hand and doing work that puts us mere mortal painters to shame
  5. Indeed - I'm not allowed to leak anything just yet, even though I pretty much have access to every bit of art from the main book.
  6. A very nicely made Krushton (or however it's spelled. They were from a French comic books, there's only three of them, and they want to take over the world - but they're only a couple of inches high, and their only power is that the can turn from 3d to 2d).
  7. I'm definately going to have to keep these in mind for an upcoming Asmodee US project...
  8. Don't be so sure - most of the various HellDorado minis will be available in boxes, with some blisters being released at the same time. A box should be all you need mini-wise to play.
  9. One of the sweeter looking demons. I do believe there should be one or two more released with that general look...
  10. I will be at the Asmodee US booth, with (hopefully) some advance copies of HellDorado and Frontieres. I might spend some time at the Rackham booth as well, nothing definite there yet. I just hope I'll have some time for some painting class and shopping...
  11. I dislike excessive violence. I still don't understand why sexuality should be more censored than violence. But one way or another, I don't like when either are gratuitous. To me, rape is one of the more despicable things a human being can do to another (it rates up there with theft, maiming/crippling/torture, and a number of horrid things). To some extent, I suppose they ARE trying to shock, but yes, it also is a depiction of a european soldier doing the deed. The game does take place in hell, and it is, pretty much the worst of european soldiers and mercenaries of the time (the game takes place during the thirty-year war) unleashed in hell. Yes, the european powers are invading and settling hell, making hell the New World, instead of America... Is that image gratuitous? I believe so. Do I agree with its use? No. Do I have a word to say about what goes in the book? No.
  12. An ad from the upcoming 2007 Asmodee US catalog. I'll keep it up on my photobucket until thursday night. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/XenonWulf/Helldorado_cat.jpg Might be a bit small, had to shrink it down...
  13. I didn't say I approved, far from it. As for it being in the rulebook, I can hope not, but it IS a bit of art that's been finished. Asmodee US has no say in what's going into the book - the french office is behind that one. And yes, it is going to hit nerves - the creators of the game don't want a nice, clean game, but want it to hit like a brick wall. If it hits nerves, they consider they've done a good job. (consider the fact that these guys are behind the original French version of In Nomine, the one Steve Jackson bought the license for and toned down....)
  14. Those are about average quality-wise when compared to the rest of what will be in the book. You have no idea how annoyed I am at not being allowed to leak out more images - a few of them are simply jaw-dropping. Do take note that this game really isn't for kids and will most definately have a "parental advisory" sticker of some sort on it. Not only is there torture and scenes of extreme violence in the artwork, but there's also nudity and at least one bit of art of an angel being raped... not for kids. This is hell. Litterally.
  15. Oooh. Yeah, Lustmord is quite awesome, same as with older stuff by Delerium. If you like Lustmord, you might want to give This Morn Omina and Mlada Fronta a listen...
  16. Depends what I'm painting. I'll usually listen to something in a style that'll inspire me for what I'm doing - dark, gloomy, futuristic stuff a la Rezolution or Dark Age will get music like Mlada Fronta, while say Western Cowboy style minis will get the soundtrack to the good, the bad and the ugly....
  17. Nothing on that yet, but it's bound to come up soon, right?
  18. Didn't a Rackham employee mention something about the Karmans using jungle buggies? And I think we've barely scratched the tip of the iceberg here when it comes to Karman and Red Block troops...
  19. It was written in the fluff bit about him on the HellDorado blog. As for his leg, your guess is as good as mine...
  20. A blind old man on the shoulders of a tough warrior...I like the concept... I should have some preview artwork sometime next week. I'll keep you guys posted...
  21. Just wait 'till you see the advanced rules - they'll make you want to play even more...
