  1. You have put a lot of thought into your crew composition. Your Gunslinger rationale beats my, "he's here because the Rezzers stink at ranged attacks." Welcome to the forums!
  2. Welcome to the forums. Colette is incredibly fun to play. You made an excellent choice.
  3. I think that's for the best; my savings account couldn't survive another purchase...
  4. Yeah, no charge. Like I said, I was very impressed with them. While I appreciate your opinion on the matter, in my case, Romeo and Battlefoam have been nothing but friendly, helpful and accommodating. I don't know, nor do I care to know all of the intimate details of their legal issue. I care about the quality of the product, and it is a very good quality.
  5. I put the Peacekeeper in vertically, with the base down. He fits in perfectly that way.
  6. Congrats! Was it the Tina crew that they had on display Sunday?
  7. I played in the All Rules Tourney on Friday. I played with a McMourning crew, and my three opponents were: Rasputina, Perdita, and Lilith. If i remember the scores correctly, they were: McMourning: 8 Tina: 4 McMourning: 8 Perdita: 4 McMourning: 4 Lilith: 8 I saw a couple more Lilith crews there, 1 other Resurrectionist, and numerous Guilds. However, I didn't get to see everything represented. Until the last game, it was pretty hectic, with one game ending and the next immediately beginning. The results on that tourney was: Fool 1st, Me 2nd, and Pipeline 3rd.
  8. I need to further post on the awesomeness of the Battlefoam cases. I spoke with Romeo at the booth today regarding the difficulty of transporting multiple cases, and he gave me a portable luggage wheel. It is a lightweight, two wheel cart, complete with bungees to hold the bags in place. So I guess I am back to having no real complaints...
  9. not a great pic, but it shows the positioning of the models. Lord Chompy Bits is in the lower left.
  10. Looks like they ship early next week.
  11. Okay, I misread your initial question. I was referring to the Canine Remains finishing the chain activation from Mortimer. I can't speak for dakrulz55's intent, but your Canine Remains lose Insignificant when they are close to one another. This can help you in Recon and such.
  12. I thought about that, or even one of their large, wheeled models (don't know the #), but it just seemed aesthetically wrong to put all the little guys and gals in anything other than the Malifaux bag. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a logo. :bounce:
  13. You need to angle in the Mature Nephilim. The tip of his wing will still be just a touch outside of the foam, but it will not hurt it. The Battlefoam booth at GenCon has a LCB in their case. I'll try to get a cell phone pic of how he did it and post it tomorrow. Another one that I was worried about was the Peacekeeper, but he fits in perfectly if you stand the model up in the pluck foam.
  14. Ya, no dice in the swag this year. If someone wants special 2010 dice from a booth, drop me a PM tonight with exactly what you are looking for, and I will try to pick some up for you.
  15. Guild: 1 Master, 2 Totems, 1 Henchman, 8 Minions Resurrrectionists: 1 Master, 2 Totems, 1 Henchman, 10 Minions Arcanists: 1 Master, 2 Totems, 1 Henchman, 12 Minions Neverborn: 1 Master, 1 Totem, 1 Henchman, 10 Minions Outcasts: 1 Master, 2 Totems, 2 Henchmen, 19 Minions (although the Gremlins have their own section).
  16. I picked up three of the Malifaux bags. Although jmp_mydog is dead on about the poor fit for the cards in the card sleeve, I was able to fit all of the laminated cards in the inside sleeve of the bag. The foam is outstanding for both protection and efficiency of space. The two pre-cut foam trays can fit a total of 48 size 2 models, and 36 size 1 models. The pluck foam at the bottom can accommodate any model in the range. I had some initial difficulty with the Mature Nephilims, but after a quick demonstration from Romeo (I had the fortune of picking these up from the Battlefoam booth at GenCon), I was able to fit them in. One of the wings on each of my 2 Nephilims sticks a little outside of the foam, but I haven't seen any issue with rubbing or bending on them. Also, Romeo had an assembled LCB inside of the pluck foam to show that it would fit as well. Aside from jmp_mydog's aforementioned difficulty with the card sleeves, there are only two negatives that I have found with the case: First, the 1" cutouts can only accommodate size 1 models. With 36 in each case, and 48 two inch cutouts, you tend to run out of space for the larger models, while still having extra space for the smaller ones. Second, and this is really just a matter of personal preference, but I would have liked some way to clip multiple bags together. When running demos, I will bring all of my Malifaux minis. My collection of models completely fills 2 cases. With the addition of the Book 2 models, this will necessitate another. Three cases are a bit bulky to carry around. But then again, this may not necessarily be an issue to most people. All in all though, I would have to say that they are a great investment, and I would be hard pressed to recommend a different product.
  17. The canine remains can companion each other...
  18. Woe is a simply a descriptive title. Some others are: Family (Ortegas), Soulless (Many Outcasts), and Nephilim (Neverborn). Some abilities have an effect on certain models, based on these titles. I don't have the book in front of me, and may be wrong, but I believe that Sorrow still leaves a corpse token. Generally, Living and Undead models leave a corpse token, and constructs leave a scrap token.
  19. I usually do not take a totem with Pandora, preferring to boost her SS pool. But if I did take a totem, I would also prefer the Primordial Magic's Increase to max Hand size and improved CA myself.
  20. I didn't receive any in the Swag Bag, or you would be welcome to them. Sorry. If you can find out another way that I can get them, let me know...
  21. I would go with one of these lists for 25ss: List 1 Viks 3x Ronin (15) Misake (7) 3 SS List 2 (If you really like the Student) Viks 2 Ronin (10) Hans (8) Student of Conflict (3) 4 SS The first list capitalizes on a quick moving, melee based gang. If you are going against a construct army like Ramos, you can replace Misake with Johan or Taelor for an extra punch. The second list is more defensive. The SoC can hang back with Hans, giving him 3 APs per turn. I think that the Convict Gunslinger is an outstanding choice of points, but he will be left behind by the mobility of the first list. In the second list, he could easily replace Hans and the SoC, and you could use the extra SS to pick up another Ronin. Bishop is a bit of a difficult model to use effectively, and his SS cost (40% of your list) is just too high for a 25 SS list. A Vik crew should be very mobile, and have a good punch to it. Another One's? requirement of a Ronin sacrifice makes them pretty much an auto include. It also requires that you have one within 2" of the Viks.
  22. Sound advice from daemonkin. I would definitely go for some cheaper models, such as the Canines, in a low SS game. You'll get more bang for your buck if you can turn a Canine Remain's corpse counter into a Punk Zombie. It's even nicer when you can convert your opponent's dead models. I've always found Nico to excel when he brings a greater number of models than his opponent does. One quick note though. Nico's Bolster will not actually affect him, as an aura does not affect the model creating it unless it specifically states that it does. Bolster is incredibly devastating when combined with Punks, Bette, a Flesh Construct or (shudder) Killjoy.
  23. I'm planning to fly up for Adepticon late Friday night. I'd definitely like to get in a Malifaux game or two. If you need help with a demo, I'd be glad to assist in any way I could as well.
