  1. I am definitely picking this one up. Yep, she's on a chimney. Concept art by Wayne Reynolds and a color mockup from Tom Mason (I think) are on the Reaper main page.
  2. Those are really good looking minis with a lot of dramatic movement and balance to them. I don't play WFB, but I'm tempted to use some of these Gamezone minis for other games or just for painting out.
  3. That is really cool, beautifully painted all the way around. It's just gorgeous!
  4. Hey, Nameless! Are you the same Nameless as on Reaper forums, or is this just a Wyrd coincidence? Either way, welcome to Wyrd!
  5. I really don't like the demon hunter. Something about the hair, the weapon...I dunno, it just doesn't work for me. The blacksmith, on the other hand, looks great, I really like that one. The wizard/druid has a ton of character and lots of fiddly bits to drive me crazy in painting, so that's a winner, too.
  6. I voted, but didn't get a sticker. I must be invisible because I walked right past several local candidates on the way in and the sticker distribution personnel on the way out. The best part was when I walked up to the registration table and with a huge grin, one volunteer asked if I'd like to vote. I laughed and the other volunteer said, "Naaah, he's here to get a tattoo." Who says those folks don't have a sense of humor?
  7. Happy Birthday! Have a great one, and many, many more.
  8. hmm...don't think I care for that one. I may change my mind when I see a painted version, though.
  9. I don't play the game, but this is one of those really like it/must paint it minis on my list.
  10. Wow! If I don't have some already, I will FIND minis to put on those bases. {runs off to check website}
  11. I'm not a fan of this type of model, generally, but this one looks great.
  12. Good stuff. I need to get some of these in hand, I really may have a good use for them. Well, 'good' in a nefarious, evil, undead sort of way.
  13. What's not to like? These just look good.
  14. I do like the pumpkin/vine golem, although I'm not thrilled with the scythe. Easy enough to convert, methinks. I like the pumpkin critter 3-pack, too. They make a nice counter to the evil snowmen. Doc Holliday is very cool, in my book, and might be my first truly 'western' mini purchase. The Daughter of Skaadi (dwarf female swinging hammer) is for Warlord, and will end up in my dwarf army someday, I'm sure. The lupine figure is a Julie Guthrie sculpt and looks like it would fit really well as the big boss over my old Ral Partha / Guthrie gnolls.
  15. Ah, yes, Figmentia claims another victim. Great stuff, Larkin, both in terms of quantity and quality.
  16. I reeeeeally like the crusade knight. Don't know if my painting skills could ever do it justice, but dang, that's a nice sculpt.
  17. Interesting...I have two similar items in different types of metal. They came with the unit and I've only used one for removing paint from a small area on a piece of wood. Never tried either on a mini, though; figured it would remove detail. Maybe it's time to try them out on the bottom of a mini or two, a shield or something from the bitz box. Thanks, Wren!
  18. Wow. Huge and frightening without being sick/gross. I like it.
  19. I'd like to get that riffler set linked by goblyn13 for the odd angles, but that's down the road a bit. For now, I can vouch for the GF9's, they're handy little suckers. On some surfaces, though, if you want the super smooth look with no tool marks, follow them up with very fine sandpaper or some other polishing device. I have used a Dremel with polishing bits, the cone-shaped ones for jewelry. The fine points wear off almost instantly, though, so the next step might be these jeweler's synthetic rubber polishing pins. I've heard good things about them, but have not had the cash to order & try them out for myself. Hope that helps...
  20. Great looking skeletons! I don't recall seeing any good ones in several years, so this is a refreshing change. Centipedes look good, too.
  21. Took me a minute to get the literary reference and Venus tribute, but still, even without the symbolism and all, I like it. Yep, I like it a lot.
  22. Yeah, I liked the preview of the mosasaur above, posted, and then went to the Dragonblood site. Other angles and a look at the rest of the base...wow. Must have!
