  1. Anyone know the scheduled release date for the 'The Pen Is Mightier' box? A google search didn't yield any concrete answers.
  2. Hi all I've picked up Sonnia's box and have a remaining budget of $50-$60, that I would like to spend on 2-3 smaller boxces. Looking at the contents of her crew box, I am guessing that I am best off playing using a burning crew to start with. I've read her 'Guild on a Budget' article, and listened to the Schemes and Stones Podcast. I'm not sure that I want to jump in and pick up the Perdita crew right away - I am drawn to the Witch Hunter aesthetic and don't really fancy the distraction of a second master - though I could be persuaded otherwise if that is clearly the best option. What would my budget be best spent on if I want to build a burning crew? I was thinking maybe Austringers, Witchling Handlers + something else; probably Malifaux Child (do I really need a second totem this early in my Guild experience?), more Witchling Stalkers (for summoning), Brutal Effigy, or Sue? Anyone have any better ideas? Thanks - Mercury
  3. Hi everyone. Does anyone know of a website or app that I can use to construct my crews, using my iPhone? The bythetree.net one no longer seems to be live. Thanks
  4. If I were to purchase a Mechanical Rider for my Kaeris crew, which constructs do I need for summoning purposes? Will I get away with just Arachnids, Fire Gamin and Metal Gamin, or do I also need to invest in things like Ice Gamin and Coryphee? Does Kaeris have any special synergy with constructs other than Fire Gamin?

    Dedication

I have the following unassembled models that I would be willing to gift: 1 December Acolyte 1 Metal Gamin 1 Fire Gamin Razorspine Rattler Marcus
  6. I'll give your suggestion some thought, but cannot help but feel that the crew you have suggested lacks hitting power. If I were to use the Firestarter as my leader, I think I would go along the lines of: Firestarter Johan Large Arachnid Rail Worker or Gamin
  7. Bought the new plastic Large Arachnids on their release. Loads of spindly legs mean that they are pretty horrible to put together, exacerbated by components which have to be assembled in a specific order, and (currently) no build instructions published on the Wyrd Games website.
  8. So if I'm bringing the Cerberus for hitting power, and Cojo for area denial, in what situations am I going to want the Blessed of December?
  9. My friends are running a Shifting Loyalties campaign and I would like a little help building a crew to comepte with theirs. They have decided to run 25ss crews to start, but these soulstones need to cover the cost of my leader model (i.e. no 'free' Henchman to lead my crew). My intention would be to run Kaeris as my Master in the longer term, so what starting crew might you recommend that will complement her later on? My feeling is that the Firestarter (while a nice addition for Kaeris) is probably too squishy, has too little damage output and too little support function to warrant being chosen as my leader. I figured that I'd be better off with either Joss, The Captain or Cassandra leading my crew? Though he looks pretty good in this low-model count format because of his high resilience and damage output, I would prefer not to select Joss. This is because one of the other guys (a Ramos player) in my group has already chosen him as his leader. This isn't an immutable rule though - if Joss really would be my best pick, considering my longer-term goals (i.e. a Kaeris crew), then I will be happy to field him at the start of the campaign.
  10. I'm very new to this game, and am planning on playing Myranda in my Kaeris crew. Which Beast models do I really need for Shapechange? I have the Cerberus and Cojo from the Marcus boxed set (presumably there are always better options than a Razorspine Rattler), but would some alternative options (e.g. Blessed of December) be more desirable in certain situations for a Kaeris crew?
  11. Thanks for the response. I bought the Kirai box because I liked the look of the models in it, but am quickly realising that its basically just Kirai and Lost Love because everything else is Summoned! Anyone care to suggest some good starter lists (say around 30ss) for each Master?
  12. I'm a brand new player, and chose Resurrectionists because I love the look of the Spirit models. Thus far I won Kirai's box, the Hanged, and a Flesh Construct. I was wondering which of the Spirit Masters was most beginner friendly? Is Kirai the best shout, or would something like Spirit Molly be easier to learn the game with. Yan Lo and Tara both look a little more complicated, though feel free to correct me if I am wrong...
  13. I saw that the plastic Night Terrors were previewed in September 2015. Anyone know of an estimated release date for them? As a new player, what is the usual time period between preview and release?
  14. I'm a brand new player. I just picked up the Kirai box, a Flesh Construct and the Hanged. I've been looking at threads on here so that I can try to plan my future purchases. The main things that drew me to the Kirai box were the Onryo. Does anyone use them to much effect with Kirai? They seem to be noticeably absent from the majority of Kirai lists posted on the forum; and the summoning advice seems to focus around Night Terrors, Drowned, Hanged and Shikomi. The same statement applies to the Gaki too, although they are not present in the starter box. Also, could anyone recommend some lists up to 35ss that make good use of kirai's box? Thanks - Mercury
