  1. I always thought Ms. #12 was an early take on Bete Noire, but either way, it'd be great to finally see her as a model. Perhaps Mr. 13 there could be an alt Nico? Seconded. Since these models are such staples, more variety in sculpts is always a good thing. Lastly, how about remaking the original metal Ronin in plastic as alternative sculpts? The metal ones were among the models that got me interested in this game.
  2. I'm still on a bit of a hiatus, but I hope to return to gaming soon.

I don't see myself returning to Malifaux, however. There are multiple reasons for this, but the primary one is that I don't have the time or energy to attempt to rebuild the local community.

If I don't have your contact info and you want to get in touch, feel free to PM me.

  3. Barely have time for anything in the hobby these days, so it's probably best that I go back to indefinite hiatus.

  4. Sorry to necro the thread, but it's something I feel like I can actually comment on, and I think it does add a little more perspective for anyone lurking. This is my first post since OTT closed. I was using it like Leveticus uses an ethereal tether to a Hollow Waif; the idea was I'd stay connected on the outskirts of the community via OTT until I could play again, then I'd rejoin the community in earnest. I have barely been able to play anything, much less Malifaux lately due to real life getting in the way (as it often does with me- I'm a terrible multitasker ). Rather than go into my usual Proustian style, I'll just say that I have way too many games and will likely need to pare down a lot in 2016. I won't be quitting Malifaux altogether (my girlfriend likes the Gremlins too much and some of my old metals have actual sentimental value); maybe I'll be back around again in the future with actual game-relevant posts. I miss OTT and it'd be nice if I could get everyone from there into a Facebook group or something, but at the same time, we were probably taking up a lot of bandwidth and database space for stuff that wasn't contributing to the hobby much (much less selling Wyrd product). It's gone, and that's a bit of a bummer, but I understand.
  5. I think the URL is part of the reason I can't access this at work except via white on white mobile. I probably won't be around as much anymore. You guys have fun...
  6. I still call shenanigans unless the guy's either making sure he always pulls 13s or there's some other character in the mix that's being left out.
  7. I'm with you, man. I haven't played in a while, but that sounds like bull. It's hard enough for Nicodem (in M2E or 1.x) to summon two of anything other than Mindless Zombies with Arise. There is no freaking way that he's summoning more than one Teddy per turn. In 1.x you could burn a stone to add to the duel total, which would allow it to work, but this is M2E and unstoppable casts are a memory now.
  8. ...and I'm not blocked anymore? Apparently the block was temporary at work.
  9. Work blocked just this topic, so I won't be on much for a while. Now I get what Abs means by white on white typing...
  10. I just figured they deliberately trumped up their accents even beyond the norm, just to help run their game. No one wants to be the person who says "I can't understand a single word you just said." The big bright thing in the sky is the sun, by the way. It's supposed to be there even though it's annoying
  11. I could never tell if the travelers in Snatch were Irish, Welsh, or something else deliberately made up just to further confuse people.
  12. So...you holding up OK since this? Rotator cuff injuries seem like they'd be really annoying- brain's registering "hurt muscle" but when you try to do certain things with it it's closer to "arm is useless." That's a pretty sweet deal. Sonnia's fun. I wish I had picked up her alt metal sculpt when I had the chance- some of those alt masters are among the best things Wyrd's ever done in my arrogant opinion (I bought Alt Justice just because it's a great sculpt, and Alt Lilith in case I ever get good enough at painting to do pinup work As for lazy co-workers, I have one co-worker who basically wants to shop online as much as possible, yet when she's under pressure she delivers outstanding work. She goes through so much effort to avoid doing stuff that I think she's negative on the old Mad Magazine Laziness Factor: Laziness Factor = work avoided - work done to avoid work avoided. The exercise ball I was using as a chair at work sprang a leak #firstworldproblems #seriouslycanyougetmorefirstworldthanthat
  13. That is half the reason we have the obesity problem we do. We eat like we're going to work 10-14 hours on the farm with hand tools and a horse or ox-drawn plow, but most of us spend the bulk of our workday sitting at a desk. Sometimes I think if CropFit were a real thing and not just the punchline of a Subway ad I'd give it a shot.
  14. Attempting to hurt local businesses + "evil" tainted American crass consumerism, I suppose. What's so weird is that a lot of the fast food sold in other countries seems like it'd be a little bit better than what is sold here, if for no other reason than the stricter laws on what is and is not acceptable to put into food. Supposedly, fast food outside of the US and Canada has far fewer preservatives and other artificial weirdness in it. That's the story we've been told- I suspect it might not be the case in real life. Did I mention I hate coffee? Starbucks is evil, and not in the fun way. Local places are almost always better.
  15. Yo dawg, etc. Actually, the quote below is from that add four points to the victory mark card. I think it sums up consumerism quite nicely.
