Austringers, the Focus Condition, and LoS

Guild Austringer's Raptor attack is a sh attack, with RG:12, which lacks a symbol, and the attack does not require LoS.

However, when the attack gains the benifits of the Focus Condition its range increases to :ranged18.

Does the added mean that a focused Raptor shot will need Los and does not ignore cover?

To me it seems that the focused attack still ignores cover and LoS.

It would have to randomise if shooting into melee though, I suppose.

I hope not. The bird is just really intent on hitting them. He shouldn't suddenly need to have LoS and be unable to ignore cover.

Yeah, the just means that the attack is randomised when focused. LOS and cover are still ignored.

Does it? If it can ignore LoS and Cover, it should ignore other models nearby. Maybe the attack needs an extra bit of text like Ramos' Electrical Fire. It's a bird, not a gun.

It makes sense that the austringer would have to randomise in such an instance. The bird has a handler that is calling the shots, perhaps when the bird is overzealous it is harder for the handler to get the bird to attack the correct target.

The handler should matter, but if they're ignoring LoS, then the handler can't call the shots, either.
