Ozz
This year, at the Ribble Rumble they will be adding Malifaux to the List of systems they are running at the event. The Event is over two days, on Saturday the 27th and Sunday 28th of July, and is being held at: The Atrium Students Union Building Fylde Road Preston Lancs PR1 2HE Tickets will be £22 for the weekend. Payment to be made via paypal to geoffhts@tiscali.co.uk - http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=111641 The link there is for the current thread for the entire event. This is a Multi System event, and currently Malifaux have 12 spaces available, however if there is enough interest, and we can find enough terrain for it, i am told we should be able to expand another few boards. This well be a ranked event, on the condition that someone explains to me what i have to do afterwards, all i know is it is relatively simple. If you have any questions about this event, PM me on here, or send me an email to: oli_nic@hotmail.co.uk I hope to see you there Thank you Oliver Edited May 13, 2013 by Ozz
Clousseau
Assuming you are registered on RHQ you need to enter your event on there, then upload an Excel file after the event. Simples.
Ozz
Ok, so i have just learnt that the rules are up in a link in the thread i put in the original post, just something wrong with my computer so i can not find it. Just in case you have the same issues, a very simple version of the rules are: Fixed Faction 40SS games 2.5 hr games 5 games over the weekend There will be no Byes, as if we have an odd number of players i will play, if we do not, i wont, nice and simple:) And for this event, there is a painting requirement, three colours and based. Along with a best painted for your system, and a best painted overall prize.
Ozz
Ok just spotted the address i found had no post code so adding it here, and will update original post with it also. Events post code is: PR1 2HE Now the reason for a new post is to add some accommodation recommendations. Ok, accommodation: Holiday Inn: Preston The Ringway, Preston, England PR1 3AU Link: http://www.hipreston.com/ Just been on their website, and they have a 20% discount for booking 21 days or more in advance, and currently you can get a room for the Friday and Saturday nights for £47.50 with 2 single beds. Premier Inn Preston http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/PRECEN/preston-central This is a premier inn, prices never stay the same, but the one close to the event is the one at: Fox Street, Preston, PR1 2AB Or Central Preston. Both of these are around a 5-10 min walk away from the event. The final one is Preston International. http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/preston-international.en.html?aid=311076;label=hotel-36950-gb-1MWhPYd7gOmcN9I6YO8ndQS17392033140:pl:ta:p1:p2:ac:ap1t1:neg;ws=&gclid=CLvsr_KnhLcCFVDMtAodwEUAzg This is closer to the event, but much more expensive, for the same two nights as the Holiday inn it is £106 for a twin room. Euclid (#ScottishMeta)
I think I'll arrange to visit my family near by this weekend.... Is the venue far from Preston Train Station?
Ozz
The venue is relatively close to the train station i believe, yet, though i have not actually visited yet, but i think it is around a 10 min walk or so.
Ozz
The original post is now updated with the event pack, system pack and two maps, one of the surrounding area for food, and one of a larger area for hotels to stay in, the train looks to be about half a KM away from the venue from the map, so very easy access from it if you are wanting to travel to the event:) As always, any questions just send me a message:)
