Quick question of Effigies.

Here's a small situation,

A crew containing Collette as a Master and Kaeris as a Henchmen.

My friend wants to know if, considering Kaeris is a leader model, he wanted to know if he could attatch a totem to Collette and then an Effigy to Kaeris.

Out of what I know, Effigies replace the totem so he cannot make that happen unless of course you play Neverborn in which case yes, that can happen.

This is what I know about it, he just wants the rules clarified about the Henchmen aspect of that.

You would not be able to do that because you would end up with 2 different special forces in your crew, which is not allowed. Effigies are Special Forces (dolls), while Kaeris is Special Forces (M&SU Assets).

Also Kaeris is only a leader if there were no masters in the original crew.

What exactly does that mean? Peronsally I do not have a Henchmen, so this is new to me.

Normally you can own hire two special forces model, unless you hire the henchman, but no matter what only one special forces type

Another question, now it's a matter of can he even take the the Arcane Effigy, even just attached to Collette and have Kaeris in the crew? Because that would make it M&SU Special Forces and Doll

Hiring a Henchmen into your crew with a Master lifts the two Special Forces model limit.

Only one Special Forces type can be in a crew. The effigy and Kaeris are from two different Special Forces groups and cannot be in the same crew.

If there are no models that are part of any other special forces then yes Collette can hire the arcane effigy.

Yes, Collette can hire the effigy as long as you do not hire Kaeris as well.

Although you loose the ability to use her doves. I do not believe that is a wise choice. Her doves are very good totems.
