underdog6750
Haha yea very true. Ive never seen you start a thread on this part of the forum. You generally stay well clear. Mehter
Just saw this, hope you don't mind a question on the Onryos you posted back in October. Did you just use twigs for those tree/twigs? They look pretty good, and I'm re-doing all my Spirit bases currently and would like to pepper that sort of thing throughout. underdog6750
They are roots from a random half dead plant in the garden that i dug up, washed then dried out on the radiator. I found twings to be too thick an uniform as i was going for a twisted dead tree look to match the marshes. I glued them on last to keep them looking a natural colour. Hope that helps
Mehter
That's what I figured, but you never know these days. Thanks. I like the scheme as well, the contrast is great.

morpsele
Wow. I have forgotten to come and see your stuff. I have checked the 9 Page and your work is great. You have giving me a good reason to start painting my Kirai. Love the water efect on your bases.
underdog6750
Cheers there alot of random crap in her too. LupusFerreus
Very nice stuff. What do you use to get that water effect? I'm wondering if I can get a similar effect with PVA glue.
underdog6750
Unfortunately you cant use pva glue. It dries cloudy. For these bases i used woodlands scenics realistic watereffect. Its about £17 for a big bottle. I doubt i could ever get through all of it. Its a bit of a long drying time with some of the bases as they were cut out and filled to give a deeper water. But i. Really pleased with the results and would highly recommend it. GW also do some but its more expensive and have never seen the results. Ive used epoxy resin for smaller effects and ice etc although this is really messy having to mix it etc and a pain to get the right consistancey. Hope this is of some help? Anything else you would loke to know please ask
underdog6750
Ive been neglecting this plog for a while. Been more focused on gaming with the recent tournament at vapnartak in york at the begging of the month. Hobbying wise ive just drilled my hoff crew ready to pin and realised ive no f***in glue left lol. Guild wise ive also painted the guard captain and another guardsman. Ill be retaking photos of all my minis tomorow and reposting them with a decent light box instead of the usual white sheet o' paper lol. Ressur wise ill not be adding to them for the next couple of months as i have a back log of guild stuff to paint and a ln escelation league running thanks to guildmonkee. So ill be using lucius and possibly hoff for that. Im aiming to be in another tournament next month which i plan on using guild for this
decoyfate
Your water effects are excellent. For all those undead, white was a good choice. Good luck at the tournament.
Viruk
I somehow missed Datsue, love the way you painted white robe some blue showing in the recesses. The base looks great too, very good use of water effect there.

underdog6750
Well i have been neglecting this thread the past while due to painting a collette crew for a friend and wanting to keep it hidden lol. Heres a pic of some of my first commissioned models which im working on at the momemt. Anyone intrested drop me an email at reanimatestudios@gmail.com Terror tots
underdog6750
Another delayed update. Heres a few pics of a collette crew i painted for a good friend. I really enjoyed painting the models. Some of Wyrds finest works in my opinion. C&C's welcome as always
Big Ned
The stockings on your showgirls look fantastic! I'm really digging those bases and the rather... suggestive way you've painted Cassandra's dress.
underdog6750
Thanks very much. I was considering getting a bit of a nipple slip in there but thought that may be offensive to some gamers lol The bases were a pain in the behind. I glued coffee stirrers onto a bit of paper and then cut them out. I like how they turned out looking quite natural though and the rugs on some of the bases are my first ever attempt at using green stuff lol
Joel
having looked at the pics, I'm now even happier that I won the Soulstone Train Logo competition I will definitely asked for my crew box to be painted please! now - as for the box, I think I'll have to mull that over a little - but I do have a question: If I also pay for some extra models to go with the crew box, could you paint those for me too at your usual rates? ta, Joel
Evilbleachman
Awesomesauce. I am also stealing your Cassandra idea. I had a similar idea on Colette. And I had a dual nipple slip, though it hardly became noticeable after glazing it several times... Still awesomesauce. I can't wait to get into my Colette crew.
