Spartan31337 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Share Posted September 22, 2012 i'm just getting into Malifaux, and am enjoying it so far. i am trying to figure out what models to get next. so far i have: Lady Justice Box Sonnia Criid box Pertida Box Guild Austringer Witchling Handler Enslaved Nephilim What should i look into picking up next? i am thinking guild dogs, possibly Lucius (to help with certain strategies, but not sure how necessary), and in the future Criid's avatar. I am also following that list [...] Honestly, if I was new and just starting guild, my initial purchases would be in this order: Sonnia Criid starter boxWitchling Handler Lady Justice Starter Box Perdita Starter Box 2 blisters of Guild hounds Enslaved Nephilim Blister of Guild Guards Lucius Starter Box Drill Sergeant Hoffman Starter Box 2x Wardens (if this is after they release) Exorcist (if my local area had a fair number of ressers) Pale Rider 2 blisters of Austringers 2 blisters Desperate Mercenaries Avatar Sonnia Avatar Justice Executioner Governors Proxy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dgraz Posted September 22, 2012 Report Share Posted September 22, 2012 Lady J and Sonnia both work very well without Totems. In that spot you can put in a Brutal Effigy - it's a solid combatant and gives a much needed Healing ability for Guild. A Watcher - Guild has so much shooting and the Watcher can hit a target and that target doesn't get cover bonuses that round.....huge for Sonnia's Flameburst spell. Plus, it is a flying, high movement, significant model @ 3ss. Hounds and Desp. Mercs are both good, but not something I put above the two I listed. Sonnia Avatar is fantastic.
