She lets you draw two additional cards, but you still have to discard down to the maximum hand size, so her only advantage is that you can slightly filter the deck (or pick up new cards if you did't kill levi last turn). Really the minion to pick should be based on circumstance. If you expect to be facing a magic heavy crew then Jack Daw could be burning through cards just to stay alive, but if you don't anticipate a lot of magic on the opposing crew (one of the guys I frequently play against specialises in guild guard gun lines) then Jack is virtually impervious and far more use than Alyce on the card draw dept. If you didn't kill Levi, chances are you used 2 cards that turn, so yes because it gives the option. Alos means you can try and stack your hand with the suits you may need for that turn too.
