edonil
So, looking for some cheap and simple ways to make a series of urban bases. I've got a set of sand already that I can use, but I wanted to be able to put some rubble and debris on them. Also looking for advice on easy sandbags, if anyone has any? Mantis840
Alot of people use thin foam n cork boards which are easy to cut n stack into slabs like from a fallen wall smashed up. Also theres different sized pea gravel and also you can cut sprues from warhammer miniatures into odd shaped pieces, and if you use some coarse sandpaper or a tumbler you can grind them to smaller portions. You can get water effects from a bottle sold by different companies, use "green stuff" to model different structures, and also if you go to a craft store in the fake flowers or landscapes you can get brush, grass, and tree affects. I'm sure theres a ton more stuff people use, but this should be able to get you started with ideas.

ommadon
heard of this site on one of the podcast I listen to, I think it was Eternal Warriors. It's large stamps for texture on bases. http://happyseppukumodelworks.bigcartel.com/ The host said he uses small wooden rounds and milliput to make his bases for about .50 but you could easily just use the included bases and it becomes cheaper.
