North Wind + Ice Mirror

We had an interesting situation come up at my FLGS. A Silent One had North Wind up and Raspy was within it. Raspy casts a spell using Mirror through a model that isn't in North Winds range.

Ice Mirror states that Raspy draws LOS and Range from the new model. So does the IM Proxy cast benefit from NW? I didn't end up affecting the situation due to being in base range, but I'd to clear it up.

My base concern was that NW extending the range of Ice Mirror and her spell could add up to 6 inches, which didn't seem to be the intention imho. Thoughts?

North Wind only increases the Rg stat, not things that just state a distance (eg models within 6"). Therefore it can increase the Rg of a spell. But not the distance to an Ice Mirror.

Interesting, I'll have to fill him in then..but as to my question?....

Ah, i think i see what you're saying..NW increasing the Range stat of the spell, so that carries over through Ice Mirror, but NW doesn't increase Ice Mirrors range. I Got it now i think.

It's still Rasputina casting the spell, so it would have to be in range of her to give her the range bonus.

You can effectively get 9inches of additional range with a Silent One near her casting North Wind, and another frozen heart model (usually another Silent One) 6 inches in front of herh

Combine this with Snow Storms abilities to give your crew a push forward, you can start decimating your opponants crew on turn 1 if they move anything in LoS.
