Malifaux is full of Zombie horror references, so I was just wondering if this model was a tribute to one of the most popular characters from The Walking Dead.

I saw that reference too. With the 3 assassin chicks. I also believe that is where the idea comes from, but after viewing pics of Michonne from The Walking Dead comics I could see "Copperhead's" ronin figure.

You are probably right though and it is just coincidence.
