Mirarii
So I finally worked up the motivation to paint something. It was a lot of fun to finally stop staring at the hordes of primed models on my desk and do something. I decided though, that I would make an attempt at speed painting. I also learned that washes completely change a model and he went from primed to magically strangled, near life-less victim in about 30 minutes. What do you guys think? I'm going to be using him in my Raspy crew. For reference to another model in the crew here is Raspy: http://imgur.com/a/I25fk And here is the EoP: http://imgur.com/cw7H5 I'd post images but the sizes are huge and I'm too lazy to resize them. Edit: Forgot to mention, he's only shiny because I just sprayed him with some matte finisher. Memento Mori
Bit of highlighting on the flames and it's all good, just a personal preference but the base is a little plain! Raspy when coated in magic washes should look good to with the depth a wash will add.
Mirarii
Raspy when coated in magic washes should look good to with the depth a wash will add. I did a very light wash of purple on Raspy, it's hard to see but there is a teensy bit of a cloudy effect on her coat that I ended up liking, light colors are just a pain to wash. Memento Mori
I'd hit it with a heavy wash and then paint thin layers of the base on top. As with white I think pale and light colours work best with extreme shade and highlightin, just use lots of thin layers to get the transition.
