Kaeris Immolate Spell Question

A question came up in a game tonight that we wanted to toss out to the board/rules forum.

Kaeris has the following spell:

(1) Immolate: (Blah Blah) Dg 3/5/6. This Spell may Blah blah snip..... If target model is killed, replace it with one 50mm marker. The marker is obscuring, Ht 5, and hazardous (Dg 3).

So the question is, does the marker cause magical damage?

It does not say it causes Magical Damage, and it is not direct damage dealt by a spell, so I would say not.

Not entirely sure but I would agree with Sholto. The damage would ultimately be taken because you went into hazardous terrain which would be just like any other hazardous terrain... I think >.>. At least that's my take on it

I agree Kearis being my main henchman I also see it thsat way i see the token acting like the one that Soya can deploy with her flame wall spell it seems the same to me.

I'm with you guys. Seems like it's just from being hazardous terrain, and therefore not magic damage.
