Magical Extension question

Hi,

Magical Extension reads that the totem can cast a (1) spell of their connected Master. Does this mean that a totem connected to a henchman who is hired into a crew is unable to use magical extension as the henchman only counts as a master when it leads a crew?

My understanding is that it's the connected Leader. If I'm correct than the language is just a hold over.

no, it actually reads as master, not leader

I have asked this on here before and i got the ruling that it is supposed to be the connected leader or connected model.. or worded in some way that does actually allow henchman to use magical extension. I can't show you where in the rules book it says it so I know it isn't the most satisfying answer. But that's how I understand it to work. Hope it helps
