Manifest stopping sacrificed?

Using nurse to reactivate nico while ignoring the sacrifice effect due to manifest is devious.

The Nurse puts an effect on the model that sacrifices it at the end of the turn.

I said in that post you linked to that being Killed is not an effect. But you could have an effect (eg. Headshot) that causes a model to be killed.

It's a common tactic in a Zoraida list.. Use Nurse for a buff and then have Papa Loco Shrug off the effect before he died.

so an effect causes Sacrificed, but Sacrificed is not an effect.

Massive Dose... target friendly living or Undead model receives one of the following effects:

Speed: Target gains Reactivate. Sacrifice the target at the start of the Closing Phase.

So the target gains the effect called "Speed". While the effect is on him, he has reactivate and must be sacrificed at the start of the closing phase. If the effect is removed after the model has reactivated, but before the start of the Closing Phase, then it is not sacrificed.

(bows) Thank you, thank you...really, I just love Sue, so I've been trying to figure out ways to incorporate him into lists I'm running. Nurses I'm still not too impressed by, but if I've got the spare points and I'm running Sue anyway, might not be a bad plan.
