paralyzed and Kablooey!

Hey all, so this questions cam up during a recent game of Gremlin's VS. Nicodem. Ncodem cast "Rigor Mortis" on poor Pere Ravage (who was down to one wound left) before moving away and having Mortimer dispatch poor Pere without Pere going "Kablooey" and doing a pulse of damage.

Now is this correct? Does paralyzing a model mean that non-AP abilities can not be taken as well?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm... paralyzed models "cannot take any sort of action" (p34), I would be tempted to allow passive actions (those not requiring an AP or a trigger) such as explosions and such to be performed; not sure though

There's no reason Pere wouldn't blow up if paralyzed.

I don't have the card in front of me, but isn't Kablooey! an Ability and not an Action? If it is an Ability there is nothing that prevents it from going off. If it is an Action you can't do it while paralyzed.
