Dire Hoarcat Snuggler
I think when I originally looked at Sonnia and her box set crew, I thought to myself how boring it would be to paint them up compared to a bunch of cowboy necromancers, or demon-hunting gunslingers. How wrong I was... A flame basing kit, some resin base inserts, and some plastic necromancer cloak bits, plus some head and weapon swaps, and a longer poncho for Samael, and the crew was already looking great in prototype. Then it was time to get everyone in working order paint-wise. I chose a very blocked-out scheme of a posh purple and red, with yellow leathers for contrast. Here are the results... Enjoy, and comment as you will! ~J~
Brick Bungalow
Nice looking crew. I might consider hitting them with some dullcote.

Dire Hoarcat Snuggler
Biggles & Foe: Thanks for excusing my awful camera work! Bungalow: They are dual coated in matte finish due to the amount of wear and tear my minis get despite being in a Battlefoam case (i.e. getting banged around and used every Friday and Monday most weeks). They aren't actually reflective in normal light conditions, but normally there isn't a camera flash around to make them look covered in a layer of slime I'll have to try something called dull cote compared to matte if I'm to get your suggested results, but I wonder if it'll make a difference... Thanks for the feedback so far! ~J~
Dark Alleycat
It really will make the difference. Ona different note,oh my god that conversion job is downright amazing. that looks like it would be a spectacular gang to play against. Dire Hoarcat Snuggler
@DarkAlleyCat: ... which is exactly why this is always used for demos! @AvatarForm: When I saw the converted Bishop in one of the Wyrd journals early on, I knew I had to find a decent excuse to use that kit piece on one of my minis. Luckily, Witchlings tend to explode now and then, so I figure this one's just about to pop! @BigTed: Thanks! I almost misinterpreted your compliment though, without a comma. O_______O' @Omenbringer: He's my fave, too! I spent so much time going back and forth between shiny/sweaty and dark/hairy, and I think I finally struck a good balance here. @Irakarid: Yeah, currently I have no good photo hood for my minis, so flash it'll have to be. Even my least glossy minis reflect stupidly with my camera. It's a shame really, and I should just throw out my camera and have someone else do all my photography ~J~
