edonil
Hey Steam, not too much, how are you?
SteamHammer
Another hectic week of work which is why I haven't been around much. And zero painting time.
Mister Monkey
So do I Ed. Morning Steam....
SteamHammer
Morning Monkey. What's new with you?
edonil
Aw, sorry to hear that Steam. By the by, finally got around to picking up Cauldron of Ghosts, and it's brilliant. Has me thinking I just wasn't paying attention while reading Torch of Freedom.
SteamHammer
I have to get that one at some point.
edonil
It's definitely the best one of the set by far. Although you'll need to read Rising Thunder right before it, otherwise the major plot twist at the end will just be head-tiltingly confusing. SteamHammer
Good to know. I don't think I've made it that far in that series.
edonil
Yeah, at some point in the last couple books if you miss reading the main or subset books it gets confusing
edonil
What are you reading right now?
SteamHammer
Book 4 of that Defense Command series by Kenneth Tam. They're very short and entertaining as a break from longer novels.
edonil
Huh. I'll have to add those to my list of books to track down at some point. Which is getting way too long for my liking... hopefully I can actually start to tackle it.
Mako
What you need is all the authors to stop writing for a bit, lol.
SteamHammer
Would be nice. But then they'd release a massive wave of stuff and the backlog would reappear.
edonil
Yeah, I think that'd just shift the list around a little while, lol.
Mako
Heh. I now have images of you two being buried under a tidal wave of paper as you celebrate getting caught up on your reading lists
edonil
...okay, that would be mildly entertaining, lol. How's the UK this morning?
Mako
Peaceful for once, all I have to do today is some laundry, make a phone call and pack. Remembering to allow for the new draconian rules on hand luggage on flights to north america...
edonil
Have fun with that. Remember, don't use, breath, or think the word 'bomb'. That will just end badly.
Mako
Yeah, that would be bad. Apparently if any electrical device isn't charged enough to work, it won't be allowed on. Which would be fine if my shaver wasn't having charge issues and likes to drain the batteries... got to hope my new one can hold a charge properly! edonil
O.o That's an interesting one... makes some level of sense, but definitely a bit out there.
Mako
Aye, it's something about battery bombs I think. Ah well, only two more long haul flights to deal with this year.
edonil
Well, that's a good thing. Hopefully they all go well.
