edonil
...not sure about the tents, but I just remembered some brush terrain railroad stuff I picked up for basing. A pile of them on a base of some kind might work pretty well.
Mister Monkey
Seriously glue a couple of sticks to a base, tie a string between them and put a bit of tissue over it like a basic pup tent. Then just paint it with watered down PVA to make it a bit tougher.
edonil
...it seems like that should be more complicated, lol.
Mister Monkey
It does, but lets face it, that would be how you would make a basic tent in real life.... so just scale it down...... Is your train stuff clump foliage?
edonil
Some of it is. Honestly, I don't remember what all of it is. My biggest problem is figuring out what to use as a base and how to get things onto them. After that, I could...hopefully... figure it out from there. Yes, I tend to overcomplicate things, why do you ask? :-P
Mister Monkey
I got some of that clump stuff an glued it to some little 15mm haystacks I had and it makes neat bushes. Even if you made little bumps out of Fimo/Modeling clay and glued then to those.
edonil
... >.> I didn't even think of using fimo as an attachment point. I have a nice little square of that at home. Ha, sweet. Thanks for the advice! ---------- Post added at 12:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 AM ---------- Now I just need some time, but with the materials I have at home, I should be able to get a board together, even before trying to buy some insulation foam. Mister Monkey
Sweet as, hopefully I helped. Though if I need a quick table I may just steal that idea back *wink*

Mister Monkey
Sweet..... How many tables do you need?
edonil
My goal is three, on top of a little space for demos.
Mister Monkey
And how many you got already?
edonil
Um. I can probably throw down one, although it won't be especially pretty. With the foam and stuff you recommended, I might be able to get another one down easily enough. Maybe two.
Mister Monkey
Fair enough, good luck with the building.....
edonil
Thanks. Hopefully it goes well. The biggest problem has been figuring out how to get things onto bases so they stay consistent and I can move them around, but the Fimo should work great for that. edonil
There's five story ideas running around in my head including the one you know about. Not to mention six Malifaux starter sets to paint, 1k worth of Scourge and UCM for dropzone, Infinity stuff, and I want to finish a playthrough of Dragon Age II. I have plenty, lol. Mister Monkey
That would involve me actually painting them..... I think they might be a last minute rush *grin* I picked up an early set of D&D and it turned up today..... even includes a TSR catalog from 1981. That is retro cool. edonil
Ha, man, that thing is older than me by a few years...impressive... Eh. They're ogres. Last minute rush, with how high a quality you get on jobs like that, should work fine.
Mister Monkey
Ha ha, that is kind of scary..... I have action figures on cards that are older then you. ..... way to make me feel old *grin* Yeah there are just 12 ogres to do, should not be that hard when the pressures on.
