Let me know what you think, it sounds interesting enough.

Me, I'm getting a lesson, once again, in why I don't buy new things from Spartan Games. RSN Destroyers are $18 for two. Not a bad price, all considered. Except the unit size is 2-3. So if I want a max squad, I'm either going to have a leftover, or I'm going to be spending a lot more than I want to and end up with two max squads. I hate this particular method of pricing...

Yeah, see, that's a different thing. Hawk Wargames does something similar with Dropzone. A blister gets you the minimum unit size (in the case of exotic infantry you actually get two separate units). The units then scale up in size by a multiple of the unit. So, 3 Katanas is a minimum unit, but you can also bring along a unit of 6 or of 9. And you buy them in blisters of 3.

This 'we'll sell you part of a unit and you'll have to either buy extras or multiple units, ha!' idea is just annoying and feels manipulative.

Oh, at this point nothing, lol. I was considering buying a Rense System Navy box since Firestorm Armada is picking up some momentum, but now I'm heavily reconsidering it considering that gimmick. The cost isn't even so much a problem, it's more that every RSN squad is going to require me to buy two blisters and end up with extras because of the way the rules are written.

Yeah, Cruisers and Destroyers are sold in packs of 2, unit size is 2-3. Heavy Cruisers are $14 apiece and unit size is 2-3. Frigates are packs of 6, unit size 2-4. Escorts I'll get enough for, so that's good. But the core units of a fleet will pull those gimmicks.

I'm surprised they're still around. How many will you be left with if that one closes?
