Victoria
We did wave 1 stuff tonight - most of us are out of black ink in our printers And the one person who has been trying out the wave 2 stuff didn't want to play it this week until the rules had been updated! I'll take two wins any day! But I'd take three losses too. I love watching our local players get better and better! We are pretty lucky to have a solid group of about 8 players who meet weekly. We can probably muster up about 12 - 16 players for events.
Mister Monkey
I can not wait for my rulebook to finally show up....
Victoria
Speaking of rulebooks... one of our players accidentally tore one of the pages of another player's rulebook in half. Ouch!!! It was even a rulebook that had had the covers laminated and been spiral bound.
Mister Monkey
How on earth do you manage that?
Mako
Heh, is it being carried to you on the back of a migrating sparrow? ---------- Post added at 06:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 AM ---------- Holy... That's some serious handling there.
Victoria
The book was sitting on a stool, he turned the page, and it got off-balance and fell off the stool while he was holding the page.
Mako
That was probably a fairly comedic embarrassing moment, him standing there with half a page looking shocked, and everyone staring...? Really unfortunate of course, but it has so much classic comedy tableau potential!
Victoria
Thats pretty much what happened! He spent the next several hours apologizing, and of course is paying for the book. Including the cost of the lamination and spiral binding. Then he'll own the one with the taped together page. But its also unfortunate for him because he couldn't really afford it right now. Mako
Ah, unlucky timing. But kudos to him for doing it no question, especially with that. I saw one of the spiral bound ones on A Wyrd Place, they do look sweet. I'm almost tempted to get a second sometime and do it!

Victoria
I highly recommend them -- even though I don't have one! I wish I did. Its really nice to be able to lay it flat without having to worry about cracking the binding!
