SteamHammer
Damn, now I'll have to go and have a look at it.

edonil
I really like that Retribution model, but otherwise...meh, lol. Doesn't look bad, just not grabbing my attention. ---------- Post added at 05:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:20 AM ---------- Frankly, probably a good thing... I don't need another Kickstarter, and I'd be jumping in for that figure. At $20, that's pretty steep...
SteamHammer
I thought $20 was OK for a fun game. More than that and I wouldn't have bothered as I have no interest in the multiplayer part.
Mister Monkey
Yeah not being a big computer gamer not sure if I want to try it or not, kind of keen on a couple of the models though.
edonil
Actually, the price for it is great. $20 for the game is a great price, and it does look like they're trying to do a good job with it.
SteamHammer
Another turn based game to look forward to at least. Some day I'll get that new UFO one and find time to play it.
edonil
Lastest turn based one I played was Xcom, which was a lot of fun, but mostly because of the leveling of the squad. Heroes of Might and Magic III is still the highlight of the other series like that that I know.
SteamHammer
There's also the Disciple games and King's Bounty series. All fun.
Dustcrusher
Speaking of video games, I really need to find a good gridded game mat (or make a nice Terraclips setup, I suppose) and give Endless- Fantasy Tactics a spin, since it's basically a tabletop version of the Tactics Ogre/Makai/Final Fantasy Tactics engine. But first, at least one or two more games of M2E before the beta is 100% closed. Then I have Kings of War stuff to work on like crazy. I'm painting the 3 Werewolves I got with the Kickstarter to look like the ones from Altered Beast.
SteamHammer
Afternoon. How's your M2E experience going so far?
Mako
Hey guys, how's tricks? Apparently, my three weeks of culturing cells has resulted in a visible smear on the slide after the first processing step - I've not wasted the month! Woo! SteamHammer
Woo! Good smear or bad smear?
Mako
Good smear - it means they can see the cells I was insisting were there! ---------- Post added at 04:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ---------- And goes some way to demonstrating I'm not a total buffoon in the lab... Dustcrusher
My last game of M2E was a lot of fun. Had a bit of the same feeling I did after playing my first few games of 1.x, which is a good thing. Might be playing more tonight.

Redd.Cohen
It' all been good so far, just back from lunch and just doing some graphic design stuff. You know how it is.
Mako
Lunch... I can almost remember that far back in the day. There was science after it, I think. I'd ask what you're designing but I'm betting you can't say on here!

Mako
I'll find out one day, no doubt. Blast, I meant to get something signed by someone today. Ah well, have to try and do it tomorrow instead.

Dustcrusher
Slow day at work, so I wrote the beginnings of another Newbie's Guide for Kings of War. KoW is an excellent game for me to get my feet wet with respect to writing house rules and help material. I have a plan for my potential game-writing career- player aids and guides first, then add-on house rules for existing games, then if things continue to go well, I release a free/near-free (like $1.99) ruleset on Wargames Vault, then if that takes off enough I try my hand at a full-fledged game. If that does well, then maybe I can consider whether or not I need to keep working a regular job...

Mako
It's surprisingly difficult to find photos of exsanguinated bodies... I'm not sure I want to make one myself, so I'm a bit stuck!
