I think the mates I have that got airbrushes spent more on the compressor than the brush. They took housepaint quality ultra-shiney gold, sprayed it on Space Marines, sloppily painted the shoulders white and even more sloppily painted the eyes red. I'll be doing my usual brown to half-gold to little bits of silver, with some nice rich dark cloth under it to compensate. And maybe the emblems in jade if I think it'll work when I reach that point!
