SteamHammer
Can you bake a CD without it going horribly wrong or do you mean to remove that before the baking stage?
edonil
... >.> Good point. Crap. Well, that was a potential disaster avoided. Maybe milliput doesn't need to be baked...?
SteamHammer
Looks like greenstuff so no baking required if it's the two part one you're going for.
edonil
Yeah. I'll have to do some research. Hopefully it'll remain simple. The initial idea was glue trees with bases to cds and call it a day...but the trees I got, in spite of the advertising, didn't come with bases, so I need to find something for them to stick into. (sigh) Oh well. Back to square one, lol.
SteamHammer
You can still do the original plan, just leave out the baking stage. What are you using for trees?
Mako
Milliput is air curing,so you'll be fine ed. I can't sleep...
edonil
I got some woodland scenic trees, they're quite nice, actually. Should be able to get two or three 'template' forests out of them. I've also got years worth of rocks randomly collected of different sizes, so I can make some interesting rock formations for things. It's just been a case of how to get them onto the board...hence, looking for the clay/putty. ---------- Post added at 04:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:48 AM ---------- Milliput is air curing,so you'll be fine ed. I can't sleep... Oof. I'm sorry man, that's no good.
Mako
Yeah, just squidge milliput down and stick the rocks and sand to it (and in it), it cures in a few hours and is rock hard. Some point soon I'm going to actually sleep through a night, mainly because I'll be so worn out! Lol
edonil
Thanks for clearing that up, Mako. You really should try to get some sleep tonight...you're going to burn yourself out in more ways than physically if you keep this up, trust me, lol. Yes, it's hard to keep it from happening sometimes, but still...this little sleep ain't healthy to keep up, lol.
SteamHammer
Good think you didn't rush into the baking stage last night. Nothing like the smell on melted CD to make the day worse.
edonil
Well, sadly, I do not have milliput...and it's unlikely that that is going to change until next Thursday. When I will buy three things of milliput, and proceed to assembly line the crap out of them. In the meantime, I have schoolwork, lol. Working on doing my first bit of reading for my counseling course.
MunkeyKungFu
I keep getting kicked out of systems due to the strain the network is under from everyone working at home. Going to give it another 30 minutes then sack today off and carry on painting my mechanical rider

SteamHammer
Painting Dreadball figures. I've only done 2 so far so it's time to pop in a DVD and do a long session. Of course this almost guarantees that I'll get a text asking for a Malifaux game.
edonil
Heh, that would be awesome though! I got in one last night, first one since November...it was awesome. Used Yan Lo, and discovered that Yan Lo with Izamu, Chiaki and Soul Porter is not newbie friendly... >.> Chiaki and the Soul Porter catapulted Izamu up, who managed to Riposte his way through the other side... and that's with me not doing things I could have... SteamHammer
Only one game so far. Fast and easy to learn by the looks of it but I can't comment beyond that about if it works in leagues or is balanced.
MunkeyKungFu
I managed to get 3 games in last night. I am really impressed with it. I like the fast pace of the game and really shows how long and drawn out blood bowl can be
edonil
So, do you think you like it better, Munkey? Or do you think it'll be a nice alternative, but not the same niche?
MunkeyKungFu
I think not all blood bowl players will like it as they are set in their ways. I like it as it's completely different.
edonil
Hm. I might need to look into it then. I like Blood Bowl well enough, but it definitely does feel slow, and the balance is really off...especially in the handicap system found in leagues. Money versus skills does not bring about parity...bringing Morg'n'Thorg while my opponent has four Blitzers with Block, Dodge and other abilities doesn't actually help me get any closer to being able to compete in a real sense... Anyway. Will have to look closer into it, lol.
