Hm. I think I really like the idea of a Wastrel/Academic. A rich kid who's brilliant and knows a lot of esoteric bits of things, but doesn't really do anything useful until his Fate comes along. It seems like it'd be a real interesting place to start someone off... can decide to stop being a layabout and do something useful with his life, or go further into arcane knowledge and let that be his driving force. I am probably going to redo the scarf/tie thingie around his neck. Don't like how it turned out, really. More reason not to paint late and tired. The green I will keep, the syringe will have a greenish liquid to it as well. Also all of my models work off of strong contrasts. And I wouldn't say that about the painting, it looks pretty good to me! I dunno, I think it would be entertaining to see your character as a Union Gunsmith... Wait, I can get that as a pursuit? *love* Once I see how it works to FM a game, I'll be up for giving it a shot. I'm new to it, but should be a laugh and a good challenge for Sophie!
